    Wolves

Wolves caretaker boss Steve Davis to Sky Sports: "It was disappointing, I share the pain with the supporters, Defending was poor, we haven't done well enough in our box and we weren't clinical enough in their box.

"We created chances, 21 shots today. But if you look how clinical they were, the game was too open. They broke on us a few times, we didn't get our structure right. It is finding a balace; first half, we caused problems, but when it broke down, we were punished on the break."

They were poor in the game against Man United.

They sit back to much. I know that's how Antonio Conte wants them to play and I respect that but it was too much. Kane and Son were so isolated that Bissouma, Bentancur and Hojbjerg couldn't get up near them. The wing-backs were so deep the only one who was really a threat was Perisic on the left hand side and it was disappointing and that's why Man United dominated and it wasn't until Man United score that Tottenham came out but by then it was too little too late.

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We had three or four good opportunities and should have scored more. We needed two or three goals, but only scored one.

"It's disappointing. We created enough chances but couldn't put the ball away.

"It’s a lesson because we wanted to win again. They put us under more pressure through direct play in the second half, and we were struggling."

On Granit Xhaka: "Really efficient, really consistent and really impressive. It’s the way he wants to continue to do it."

Newcastle were blown away in this fixture last season, losing 5-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April.

Fast forward six months and they return boasting the meanest defence in the Premier League - nine goals conceded in 11 matches.

Newcastle are also proving much harder to beat this season. They've lost just once in the top-flight - when they conceded a 98th minute Liverpool winner at Anfield on 31 August,

Will they qualify for a place in Europe for the first time since 2012-13?

It's certainly looking positive for Eddie Howe's side as it stands. This is a huge game for the Magpies.

  10. 'I had to pinch myself'published at 16:24 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    FT: Aston Villa 4-0 Brentford

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa caretaker boss Aaron Danks, speaking to BBC Sport: "Really happy. I thought the boys from the opening five minutes they played with intensity and sustained that. I am really, really pleased with the game and performance.

"Going into the game you always have a bit of nerves and apprehension but the moment I was on the touchline I was just focused on the performance. To see the fans and players at the end it was a nice feeling.

"It was a really worked set piece off the training ground for the first goal so credit to the staff for that and the players for executing it.

"I had to pinch myself. We asked for energy, we asked for lots of endeavour and work rate and the boys brought that. The gameplan was a lot of phycological stuff as well, about our attitude and application and togetherness.

"We felt for a few weeks this was coming. We had put some good performances in but the goals were just missing. Today we were clinical and ruthless and today is the result you get from that.

"I have been asked to lead the team at the moment and will continue to do that and will step forward Monday morning to prepare the team as we go and until I hear otherwise it is full focus and energy on that."

  11. 'We were the best team on the pitch'published at 16:24 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    FT: Leeds 2-3 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham manager Marco Silva tells Match of the Day: "Great, great win for us. It was well deserved from our players and we were the best team on the pitch. We know it’s tough to play at Elland Road, even more because they were doing everything to get three points again. Starting by losing the game at this stadium and coming back like we did is unbelievable work from our players.

"They deserve all the credit. They stuck to the plan, did what we asked, congratulations to them and our fans. It’s a long journey for them and they go home really happy."

On if he has sympathy with Jesse Marsch: "Of course. Football is really tough. Sometimes a defeat or a win makes a huge difference. All of us live under pressure. You know that in football if you have time to work with your players, if you have the quality the things will come in the right way. Marsch has shown last season the quality he has."

  13. 'It tops off a good week for us'published at 16:21 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    FT: Leeds 2-3 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham goalscorer Bobby Decordova-Reid tells Match of the Day: "It’s massive. It tops off a good week for us. We knew coming here was going to be difficult but we weathered the storm and showed a good reaction after they scored first and I think we are deserved winners.

"We are taking it game by game. It’s a consistency thing for us and in this past week we have shown we can do that and we can compete at the highest level. We’re not getting ahead of ourselves, we will keep plugging away, keep working hard and then more results will come."

  14. Postpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    Wolves 0-4 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers to BBC Match of the Day: "Collectively, we were very, very good. We carried a threat, and defensively we were excellent. Our pressing has been very good and all the goals were fantastic.

"Confidence will grow and we'll get better. The concentration is better, everybody is focussed, pressing at the right time and forcing teams into mistakes. Then we know we have the quality in the final third. We could have had more than four goals; we are growing nicely, but there is a long way to go."

  15. 'It's a hard one to call to be fair'published at 16:19 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    Tottenham v Newcastle (16:30 BST)

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's a hard one to call to be fair. Newcastle have been outstanding so far this season and credit must go to Eddie Howe. Tottenham have a few injuries they're missing Hojbjerg who's a huge blow for them. He's been their best midfielder and one of their best players so far this season. I just look at it and think Callum Wilson will cause Tottenham's back three a lot of problems and at the same time if you supply the service to Harry Kane and Son they can cause Newcastle problems. So it should be a good game this afternoon.

  16. 'We need to bounce back'published at 16:18 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    FT: Aston Villa 4-0 Brentford

    Brentford

Brentford boss Thomas Frank, speaking to Sky Sports: "First of all congratulations to Villa with a deserved win. They have been struggling so Aaron Danks and his coaching staff have done a good. job.

"We knew they would come with energy. We should have done better with the set piece for the first goal but it was a well played set piece. It was game over after 14 minutes but we never gave up.

"We have come back from 2-0 down twice this season, we know we are capable of that. The big thing in football is no matter what happens stay disciplined. Stay focused and don't make mistakes but unfortunately we didn't do that today."

Away form a concern: "Yes and no. I think sometimes it is a little bit random the order of games and what happens in theg ames but black and white in the stats we have not got enough points in away games.

"We need to bounce back and come out strong from this situation."

  17. Leeds players are 'right behind' boss Marschpublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    FT: Leeds 2-3 Fulham

    Leeds United

Leeds defender Luke Ayling: "It's a hard one to take. We did well in the first 30 minutes but we were sloppy from set-pieces, with all three goals coming from them. That just can't happen. We work hard on stopping goals like that, but today it wasn't good enough.

"We're starting games well but we're not taking our chances. But we can't sit around and feel sorry for ourselves. We have to pick ourselves up and go again."

On manager Jesse Marsch: "The boys are right behind him. He took over in a tricky situation last season and kept us in the league.

Message to the fans: "We're only 11 games into the season. We've been in worse positions, like last season. and there's still a long way to go so please stay calm and stay with us."

  18. 'We were excellent today'published at 16:17 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    Wolves 0-4 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers to Sky Sports: "It is four clean sheets in five games. Collectively, we were excellent today. We played well from Youri's first goal.

"We have played well in a lot of games, and we should have more points. We worked really well, defended well, and had the quality to score goals. We started slow and gave them the impetus, playing sideways and backwards. Danny [Ward] made a couple of great saves, but you have tro stay strong away from home. When we played the ball forward, we looked good and could have scored more goals.

"We have to be better with the ball and retain it better, make better decisions. We broke forward really well. Our objective today was to get over the line. It is a Midlands Derby so a great day for the supporters."

  19. Postpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    FT: Southampton 1-1 Arsenal

    Steve Sidwell
Former Brighton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Arteta said in his post match interview after the PSV game that the team had days to prepare and it showed. They have belief and confidence to go and win games but there was a lack of intensity. We know how well they're playing at the moment in terms of the high press and we didn't really see that today from Arsenal. Towards the end of the game a lot of mistakes were happening, loose passes but in general a point away from home is not all bad. Arsenal still sit top of the league.

  20. 'Team work & hard work'published at 16:12 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    Tottenham v Newcastle (16:30 BST)

    Newcastle United

Newcastle defender Sven Botman, asked by Sky Sports about the Magpies conceding fewer goals than anyone else: "It's down to team work and hard work.

"We started well from beginning of the season. It's always easier when you play a lot with your team-mates but every game is another challenge to us.

"Tottenham is a big challenge. Everybody knows their strengths (Kane & Son) and we will prepare for that."
