    I'm watching Raheem Sterling right now and I've said that Graham Potter has got the best from every player since he has been there, with one exception. Raheem Sterling. If he keeps playing the way he is right now, he's not even a consideration for the World Cup. He is having a really really bad time and today he is having an absolutely terrible game.

    Che Adams makes a nice run in behind then cuts inside and curls it superbly off the far post. It's a terrific effort and it's the closest Southampton have come by the flag is up because he was just offside. A warning sign for Palace.

    The World Cup is just around the corner and Gareth Southgate is at St James' Park watching from the posh seats. A chance for Nick Pope to impress the England boss? To be fair, the Newcastle keeper has not had a lot to do so far.

    Terrific defending by Dan Burn denies Emiliano Buendía what looks like a certain goal from close range. The Newcastle defender flings himself into a goal-saving challenge. Buendia is hurt in the process and is receiving treatment. A stop-start game at St James'.

    Good guy. Bad guy. You can come back to play against your old manager. The stadium atmosphere is against him. You've got to admire what Graham Potter is doing at Chelsea. Chelsea haven't come to terms in this game. It's been a rollercoaster and Brighton completely controlling the game.

    It would be interesting what Potter does tactically in order to stop Brighton from scoring again.

    Almost two! Kieffer Moore causing chaos in the middle again as he nearly converts at the back post but Emerson Royal just about clears.

    Honestly, every minute there is a shot on target or a break in this game. Havertz could have shot a bit earlier and he would have had a better chance of scoring. This is a great game, you can't predict what is going to happen.

    Michael Olise gets the ball on the edge of the box and he shifts it to the right but is blocked off by Mohammed Salisu. Olise wants a penalty but the appeals are tame and the referee quickly waves play on. Salisu stuck out a leg but very quickly brought it back in. Good decision.

    Good news for Villa. Emiliano Martínez is fine to carry on and after a chat with referee Paul Tierney about concerns over concussion, play carries on after a delay of about five minutes.

    What a lovely counter-attack! Spurs had been looking to build up some pressure with plenty of the ball but they are picked off on the break.

    Dom Solanke holds it up and finds Marcus Tavernier on the right, Kieffer Moore is free in the middle and he's picked out, with the Wales striker calmly slotting into the bottom corner.

    Again, from one end to the other in a matter of seconds. Kai Havertz beats Lewis Dunk then smacks it at the keeper from close range. Corner to Chelsea.

    So nearly brilliant! Josh Dasilva picks the ball up in a pocket on the edge of the area, rolls away from a defender and curls towards the top corner - it's a yard wide! No more, no less.

    It's an early call but I bet this is the first game on Match of the Day tonight! It's so open and there are stories flying all over the place. This game is going to create chances and it doesn't look like it will finish 2-0.
