Wolves have hit the bottom of the Premier League, which seems as good a time as any for them to introduce new manager Julen Lopetegui before kick-off tonight.

Chairman Jeff Shi has outlined what was a tough recruitment process since Bruno Lage was sacked on 3 October.

"It has been a tricky period for club," Shi explained in the club's programme.

"I am comfortable to admit, it has been a challenge to find the right head coach. The process has been painful at times but the final result is a very good one. We know we are in a difficult moment, so we need a strong leader.

"Now the hard work begins. We want to win games and have enough points but I don't expect us to start winning straight away.

"Eventually only final results will show if we are strong enough or not but I think him coming will us much better chance of better results."

Immediately, the two sets of players start piling into each other as tempers spill over.

Once the dust settles, Newcastle will be able to reflect on another big statement win!

For Chelsea, it is now five games without a win. They've lost three on the bounce.

The last couple of minutes have been carnage! Crunching tackles, the benches appealing for all sorts. I hope Phil is happy now!

Newcastle are at one end one minute, but unable to make the most of space, then the ball is down the other and Chelsea are looking to get it into the home box.

The ball comes in... and it is Newcastle head that wins it.

The home side look to break with Edouard Mendy charging back, but a Chelsea player gets a boot in.

It's frantic now. Players all over the shop, the ball pinging around.

Dan Burn is penalised for an off-the-ball incident with Kai Havertz. He's gone in to the Chelsea forward's back. The Blues with a free-kick to lob into the box to try and save themselves.

Nick Pope has just been booked. Is it for something he said or time wasting? He was doing a bit of both.

Graham Potter has to find a way to get the creativity going in this Chelsea side. We know they have great players but they really do struggle in the final third.

Newcastle are set. A bank of five, a bank of four and Wilson. Hold what they have.

They get a chance to break away and Miguel Almiron is felled by a sliding clip from Kalidou Koulibaly. That is a yellow for the Blues defender.

Kev mcveigh: It's easy to have a go at Potter but he inherited an oddly unbalanced squad that had been disorganised by Tuchel's ranting and abusing them for months. And they've had chances that just weren't taken in the last few games. Give him time.

Matt Targett is on for Botman. He'll go to left-back with Dan Burn shifting into the middle. A big man for what might be some launched Chelsea balls in his direction.
