I'm losing patience with Ollie Watkins. His finishing is shocking and half the time he makes himself dizzy running around in circles. We've had enough opportunities to score at least one so far!

Ross: I hope Emery uses the January window to upgrade our entire back four. It’s really not up to standard for where Villa want to be. Our backup keeper isn’t really par either.
Jeff: It’s not entirely clear what Unai Emery has been doing with his Villa squad for six weeks - other than practicing how to lose.

Outstanding pressing game from Henderson. Leading from the front. So many chances are created from the press when you play a high line. Risky but rewarding.
Steve
This first half has been incredible! 97% of the game inside either penalty area with the other 3% of the match Nunez being caught offside.
Jamie
Liverpool kit, horrendous; Liverpool performance, sublime.
Joseph
I’d take Nunez off and move Van Dijk up front.

Former England striker on 606
Eddie Howe has done a phenomenal job. I bet there are Newcastle fans out there thinking 'maybe this is going to be our season', but I still think it's Manchester City's. I honestly think the biggest question for Newcastle fans is can you maintain a top-four position?

Jeester: Darwin Nunez for Liverpool reminds me of Lukaku for United at the end. He keeps getting the ball stuck under him, has a poor touch that sends him out wide, or finds some other way to hold up play.
Damien: Not a Liverpool fan but dont get the Nunez pile on. Never judge a player on his first premier league season - Evra, Bale and Son, to name a few.
FT: Crystal Palace 0-3 Fulham
Crystal Palace
Palace manager Patrick Vieira speaking to Match of the Day: "It was one of the worst days since I've been at the club, not just because we lost the game. It was the way we did it, without competing.
"They prepared their game really well and we weren't brave enough to play forward.
"I believe we had the best chance before they scored their goal, but we didn't do enough to deserve something from the game.
"We have to give them credit, analyse ourselves and try to bounce back as soon as possible."
FT: Crystal Palace 0-3 Fulham
Fulham
Fulham boss Marco Silva speaking to Match of the Day: "It was a great team performance. We knew before the match we had to match them and be brave, and we did it. We knew they've been strong at home.
"Until the first goal we were the best team on the pitch. After the second goal we controlled the end of the game, scored two more goals and deserved it.
"The second goal was important. Even against 10 men, if you don't score the second goal the game is always open. We said at half-time we wanted to score the second goal as soon as possible and then we knew their energy would go down."
FT: Crystal Palace 0-3 Fulham
Fulham
Fulham defender Tim Ream speaking to Match of the Day: "The second goal was crucial, we needed to put the game away, and thankfully I was Johnny-on-the-spot."
On his goal: "There was a bit of joking around [in the dressing room afterwards]. I'm not a striker but it was just instinct. I'm happy it went in and happy VAR didn't rule it out."
On team's good form: "We're not satisfied, we want to keep winning games and to move up the table. We have a good group that understands what it's going to take, where we've fallen short in the past, and we'll give it a real good go."
FT: Everton 1-2 Wolves
Wolves
Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui, speaking to Match of the Day: "We are very happy for today. You have to work hard, believe in yourselves and we overcame a very good opponent.
"We have to improve a lot but we're happy for today. We came here looking for three points and we got them in the last minute. It's very important for us to have confidence.
"It's only for today, tomorrow we think of Manchester United. We haven't done anything yet."
FT: Everton 1-2 Wolves
Everton
Everton manager Frank Lampard: "When you don't take chances clearly these things can happen in football. It's a performance where the lads gave everything.
"It's a game we deserved win and then you don's so it's disappointing. Wolves are a strong team, they didn't really hurt us too many times. We just got the last pass wrong."
Asked how his side can avoid being in a relegation battle: "We are in one. We have to fight together. Last year we were in a really difficult moment and had some beautiful moments staying in the league.
"But it was never going to be big steps straight away, that's not football. It was always going to be a fight this year with the way the Premier League is. We just need to dig in.
"The players didn't deserve to lose that game but we did because that's football. I thought we were desperately unlucky today."
FT: Southampton 1-3 Brighton
Southampton
Southampton manager Nathan Jones, speaking to Amazon Prime after his side lost for the fourth straight Premier League game: "I'm very disappointed. We picked a side to try and be aggressive but the goals killed us. They didn't have to do loads to score the first two goals.
"Then we're on the back foot and they have confidence, then we're not as brave as we should be. When you're 2-0 down in the Premier League it is hard to come back. We're low on confidence at the minute.
"What seems like a wonder goal could be avoided. We have to defend things better. It is too easy. Southampton have only kept one clean sheet this season. That has to change.
"We have to keep working and give them structures to give them confidence so we are better. We want to go after the first goal and be front footed. Today we weren't."
FT: Southampton 1-3 Brighton
Southampton
Southampton skipper James Ward-Prowse, speaking to Amazon Prime after his side slipped to the bottom of the Premier League: "We're disappointed on many fronts. We didn't do any of the things we had been working on.
"When you concede goals in the manner we have done you give yourselves no chance of winning in the Premier League. That's something we need to change drastically.
"We know were in a difficult position but he work starts on the training ground. We need to stick together in these hard times."
On Nathan Jones' arrival and turning it around in the second half of the season: "It is exciting, for sure, the energy he has brought into the team and the club is rubbing off. It is up to the players to put his ideas and philosophy on the pitch."
Everton 1-2 Wolves
Everton
Everton defender James Tarkowski: "It's a sickener, I thought we were the better side. We moved the ball well and we got punished with a typical Wolves goal on the counter attack.
"We understand the frustration as the results are not good enough but if i was watching that game I would think we were the better side.
"We're together as a group, we back the manager and he backs us. We've performed badly sometimes, but this was not one of those times.
"If we had put the chances away we win the game comfortably. Obviously it's going to be a worry looking at the results but I have full belief in the guys. We have to stick to what we're doing."
Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool
Liverpool in control at the break.
Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool
It should be three goals and three points for Liverpool.
Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross is magnificent, Darwin Nunez latches on to it but the finish is poor, strangling it straight at Robin Olsen.
Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool
Liverpool have a free-kick deep in the Villa half...late in the half.
Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool
Liverpool are looking to wrap the game up before half-time but Jordan Henderson's shot on the bounce is straight at Robin Olsen.
Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool
Unai Emery is looking very frustrated on the touchline, barely managing to contain his anger.
Can they pull one back before half-time?
Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool
Virgil Van Dijk has scored 15 goals in the Premier League since the start of the 2018-19 season; the most of any defender in this period.
