Sarah: As an Arsenal fan, I just hope the current players have better fortunes than Vieira - and better discipline than Palace. I really wouldn't blame Vieira if he walked out rather than watch himself being let down by people who weren't brought self-control by Santa!

Koko: This Brighton performance has been amazing. Their board have done it again: De Zerbi is going to the very top.

Not a Saints fan but I live in the area and see a few games. Under Ralph, you knew there would be enough good spells to keep them up but I fear for them now that he’s been sacked. If they do go down, I think they may never return - which would be sad.

  6. CLOSE!published at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Fulham

Bobby Decordova-Reid stands up a cross from the right wing for Fulham and Aleksandar Mitrovic gets high above his marker to head downwards at the far post, only for Vicente Guaita to make a smart save low to his right. A second goal should clinch it for the Cottagers.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:22 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Everton 1-1 Wolves

A horrible challenge from Max Kilman, boot raised high and catching Idrissa Gueye in the face.

Just a yellow card for the Wolves man.

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has charged 40 yards out of his goal to remonstrate with the referee.

VAR has had a look and the caution will stand, it won't be upgraded.

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Fulham

Andreas Pereira gets into the left side of the Palace box and although his shot from a tight angle beats Vicente Guaita, it hits the outside of the near post and goes behind.

  9. Postpublished at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Southampton 0-3 Brighton

Solly March is playing like prime Luis Figo out on that right flank.

The Brighton winger confidently and cleverly turns his marker on the edge of the Saints box, clipping in a cross which Kaoru Mitoma heads wide of the left-hand post.

The ball should be in the back of the net.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Fulham

Palace make a change after losing their second defender of the game, with Chris Richards coming on for Eberechi Eze.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Everton 1-1 Wolves

Wolves goalscorer Daniel Podence lunges in on Idrissa Gueye and is booked.

Lucky to only be shown a yellow card for that? Was very reckless.

Leicester winger Harvey Barnes goes close to a chance twice. He can't make proper contact with a Jamie Vardy cross and then glances a header to nowhere.

  14. Postpublished at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Southampton 0-3 Brighton

This is getting out of hand for Southampton.

Still more than half an hour left and Brighton have the bit between their teeth.

  15. Postpublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Leicester 0-3 Newcastle

Newcastle centre-back Fabian Schar goes on a nice jinking run forward but then runs into Daniel Amartey. Literally. Leicester clear.

    Southampton 0-3 Brighton

    Francis Benali
Former Southampton defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Absolutely stunning strike. Solly March cuts inside and you think maybe the danger has gone but he unleashes a left-footed shot that flies past Gavin Bazunu. What a strike, what a goal. That has got to be game over.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

  19. RED CARDpublished at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Fulham

Now Palace are really up against it... they're down to NINE men.

James Tomkins' first start since Boxing Day last year comes to a premature end as the Palace centre-half is shown a second yellow card.

He let a pass go back to the goalkeeper and then put an arm out as Aleksandar Mitrovic went to chase the pass down. Tomkins' elbow caught the Fulham striker on the chin and he has to receive treatment before being able to continue.

  20. 'Maddison would have given Leicester freedom'published at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Leicester 0-3 Newcastle

    Jermaine Beckford
Ex-Leeds, Leicester and Everton striker on Final Score

James Maddison can find spaces from nothing, out of nowhere. His delivery is second-to-none.

It was a shame that we didn't get to see him during the World Cup. In this game, Leicester would have been able to find him with passes - and then you've got Daka, who would have been able to feed off him, and Barnes and Dewsbury-Hall, who would be able to have a little bit more freedom in possession.

They haven't been able to have that, and that's where Newcastle have been able to hit them with an abundance of players in midfield.
