    St Johnstone 0-0 St Mirren

Curtis Main finds himself out on the touchline and dinks a ball into the feet of St Mirren strike partner Jonah Ayunga in the centre of the penalty box.

He can't quite sort his feet out though as his reverse shot goes wide.

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:14 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Ross County 0-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen continue to threaten early on. Vicente Besuijen gets in behind the County defence down the right but cannot find the back of the net from a tight angle.

Bojan Miovski and Jonny Hayes were screaming for it in the middle and can rightly feel aggrieved. They were both wide open.

  3. Postpublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Livingston 0-0 Heart of Midlothian

Hearts have started well, but Jorge Grant has to do much better when played through on goal by a delicate touch from Barrie McKay.

The Hearts midfielder only has the goalkeeper to beat but blasts it well wide.

  4. goal

GOAL Hibernian 1-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Joe Newell

From bad to worse for Kilmarnock after Ash Taylor's red card.

Joe Newell's resulting free-kick is blocked away by Sam Walker, it comes back through the wall to the Hibs midfielder and he lashes it into the bottom corner. The Kilmarnock wall was far too slow to react.

  5. RED CARD - Taylor (Kilmarnock)published at 15:13 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Hibernian 0-0 Kilmarnock

Ash Taylor is off for a very early bath!

It's just a free-kick to Hibs. The centre-half brings down Martin Boyle as the last man and it was just outside the box by a matter of inches.

  6. Postpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    St Johnstone 0-0 St Mirren

Both sides have started fairly brightly in Perth, with a handful of enticing crosses evading their respective strikers.

New St Johnstone signing Nicky Clark has looked lively early on too, making himself a nuisance to the St Mirren defence already.

  7. Postpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Motherwell 0-0 Dundee Utd

It's a frantic start at Fir Park, but not many chances so far.

Having said that, United goalkeeper Carljohan Eriksson dives to smother an effort from Blair Spittal after a long ball from fellow midfielder Sean Goss.

  8. Postpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Hibernian 0-0 Kilmarnock

Hibs have started brightly and Elie Youan tests Sam Walker early on.

Picking up the ball on the edge of the box, the striker eventually worked it onto his right and curls it towards the bottom corner, but the Kilmarnock goalkeeper was able to turn behind. The Frenchman is still in search of his first Hibs goal.

  9. GOOD SAVE!published at 15:08 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Ross County 0-0 Aberdeen

A bright start from Aberdeen in Dingwall. Jonny Hayes is allowed to drive forward and the winger forces Ross Laidlaw into a good low save.

  10. Postpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Livingston 0-0 Heart of Midlothian

Hearts have the first chance of the game. Gary Mackay-Steven gets down the left, but the winger's ball across goal is difficult to deal with for new signing Stephen Humphrys and the on-loan Wigan Athletic striker's finish goes way over the bar.

  13. Postecoglou 'proud' of 'outstanding' Celticpublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    FT: Celtic 4-0 Rangers

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou says he's "really proud" of his players after another stellar performance.

"It was a big game, we knew that," he tells BBC Sportsound. "The boys were outstanding from start to finish.

"We know what this game means to our supporters. We've given them another memorable day and the players deserve all the credit for that."

On what being five points clear of Rangers after just six games means, Postecoglou adds: "What's more important to me is how we're playing, that's a better indicator.

"You can win games in many ways, but our form has been outstanding and we've been getting better every week. If we keep going like that, we're going to be hard to stop."

On the injuries to Kyogo Furuhashi and Carl Starfelt, Postecoglou adds: "It was a shoulder injury [for Kyogo]. Carl had a niggle in his knee. It's a bit of blow because Kyogo has been in brilliant form so far this season."

  14. Will Killie change Easter Road trend?published at 14:57 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Hibernian v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Hibs are unbeaten in their latest eight home league games stretching back to last season, but six of those were draws and they haven't won in their latest three games at Easter Road in League Cup and Premiership.

Kilmarnock's record at Easter Road is just as poor, having not won on eight visits and losing the latest three.

  15. Hearts usually hold sway over Livipublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

Livingston v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

Both sides at Tony Macaroni Arena are looking to recover from disappointing home defeats in the League Cup.

But Hearts have the upper hand in their most recent meetings, being unbeaten in eight games with Livingston since a 5-0 thumping in West Lothian in December 2018.

  16. County to hold advantage over Dons again?published at 14:53 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Ross County v Aberdeen (15:00)

Ross County are unbeaten in four meetings with Aberdeen, winning two of them, including their latest at Pittodrie in April.

That was after Jim Goodwin took control of the Dons, but the Irishman has won each of his last three league visits to Global Energy Stadium - all as St Mirren manager.

  17. Will Van Veen equal Moult record?published at 14:52 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Motherwell v Dundee United (15:00)

Dutch striker Kevin van Veen has scored six goals in his latest four games for Motherwell, including one in each of their last three in the Premiership.

The last player to score in four successive top-flight appearances for the Fir Park outfit was Louis Moult, the striker who this week returned to Motherwell on loan from Burton Albion, in September 2017.

Having beaten Livingston in midweek in their first game under caretaker boss Liam Fox, United will look to for a first league win of the season. If they don't, they will have failed to win any of their first six games of a top-flight season for the first time since 2000-01.

  18. Saints in contrasting formpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

St Johnstone v St Mirren (15:00)

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at McDiarmid Park

McDiarmid Park is the venue for the first edition of the Battle of the Saints this season and those of the Paisley variety are certainly making the trip in fine fettle.

Stephen Robinson's St Mirren take a perfect record from their last three games - three wins and no goals conceded - into this one against a team who have found the going hard so far this term.

St Johnstone have won just one of their opening five league games, losing their latest three.

However, having bolstered his attacking options by recruiting Nicky Clark and Connor McLennan over the last few days, manager Callum Davidson will be hoping that added cutting edge at the top end of the pitch can help propel them up the table.

  19. Both sides unchanged at Fir Parkpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Motherwell v Dundee United (15:00)

Steven Hammell makes no changes to the Motherwell side that started the midweek 4-0 League Cup win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Louis Moult, who re-joined the club on loan from Burton Albion on deadline day, is not in the squad as the striker is still working his way to full fitness.

United interim boss Liam Fox also names an unchanged side after their cup success away to Livingston.

  20. Two changes each at Easter Road; Hibs signings on benchpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    Hibernian v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Lee Johnson makes two changes from the side that lost to St Mirren last weekend - although the Hibs manager will be watching from his sickbed as he recovers from emergency gallbladder surgery.

Midfielder Nohan Kenneh and forward Ewan Henderson replace Jake Doyle-Hayes, who drops to the bench, and Christian Doidge - who joined the visitors on loan during the week.

Doidge cannot play his parent side, so the striker must wait to make his debut.

Derek McInnes makes two changes from his midweek side that defeated Hearts in the League Cup - Liam Donnelly drops out completely with Rory McKenzie named on the bench. Midfielder Alan Power returns to the starting line-up, alongside striker Oli Shaw.

Deadline day signings Harry McKirdy, the striker from Swindon Town, and on-loan Manchester United defender Will Fish are named on the Hibs bench.
