Jurrien Timber gets across on the cover and is then brought down by Darwin Nunez. A needless free-kick conceded by the Liverpool forward with the Ajax defender under pressure.

Joshua Kimmich takes one for the team by dragging back Frenkie de Jong as Barca look to break.

It is just not clicking at all for Barca this half. Robert Lewandowski had three big chances in the first half. He's not really getting a sniff now.

Sensational from Diaz. It’s a raking diagonal ball from Alexander-Arnold, which must have gone 60 yards. Diaz not only keeps the ball in, but he lures Rensch in. He drives into the box but Timber is super alert to clear the danger.

Luis Diaz races onto Trent Alexander-Arnold's searching pass and gets to the touchline before darting back inside.

Timber gets over to block his shot eight yards or so from the Ajax goal.

Serge Gnabry joins the action for Bayern, replacing Sadio Mane, who has worked hard but not had many chances.

Barca make another change, sending on Eric Garcia at the back in place of Andreas Christensen.

There are 20 minutes left.

Bayern's subs have had a really positive impact on this game.

Leon Goretzka has added presence in midfield since the break. Better even than him, though, is Noussair Mazraoui, who has been excellent since coming on for the injured Benjamin Pavard in the first half.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah races through on goal but the bouncing ball and Ajax goalkeeper Remko Pasveer get the better of him.

Harvey Elliott then skews the loose ball into the side netting as the flag is raised.

Robert Lewandowski gets another sight of goal. Dayot Upamecano does really well to keep the striker off balance and unable to get any power on his angled shot.

Golden chance missed!

Pedri sips past a challenge and finds Robert Lewandowski before continuing his run into the box. The striker returns the ball and with just the keeper to beat, Pedri clips the ball up, over Manuel Neuer and against the outside of the post.

It's wave after wave of Bayern attacks.

Leon Goretzka is the latest player to have a pop, but his effort is blocked.

Ajax are persisting in trying to play out from the back and feed the ball into the Liverpool half.

However, they are struggling to actually get beyond the half-way line at times. It's been over 30 minutes since their last and only effort on target.

Meanwhile, Edson Alvarez is booked for a foul on Diogo Jota.

Bayern win the ball on halfway and tear away again. Jamal Musiala takes aim and pulls his low shot just past the post.
