Liverpool are playing high up the pitch and that high back line has been a problem for them this season. Ajax may feel there’ll be opportunities for them in this second-half.
Liverpool 1-1 Ajax
Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott tries a curler from 20 yards out over on the right. The ball finishes far too central to cause Remko Pasveer any problems.
Bayern Munich 2-0 Barcelona
We're going to find out what this new-look Barca are made of now.
Liverpool 1-1 Ajax
Liverpool send out James Milner, Roberto Firmino and Darwin Nunez to do their warm-ups.
Jurgen Klopp looks like he might be ready to make a change soon.
Bayern Munich 2-0 Barcelona
The change in the German side this half is remarkable. They were a bit tentative in attack in the first 45 minutes, but now every one wants the ball, they're flooding forward on the charge at every opportunity.
Baca are clinging on to this game with their fingernails now.
Leroy Sane
Bayern are on fire!
The home side have turned it on and are blowing Barca away. Jamal Musiala turns and feeds in Leroy Sane, who drives between two away defenders and flicks a finish past Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Liverpool 1-1 Ajax
Decent chance. Diogo Jota lets a shot go from 18 yards. It's hit with plenty of pace but it's straight at visiting keeper Remko Pasveer.
Lucas Hernandez
Breakthrough!
Bayern lead as Lucas Hernandez gets away from marker Marcos Alonso in the middle to head home Joshua Kimmich's corner.
Barca have had most of the chances, but Bayern are the first to take one.
Bayern Munich 0-0 Barcelona
Save!
Leon Goretzka's first involvement is to fire a fierce shot on target from the edge of the box. He thinks it is the opening goal until Marc-Andre ter Stegen palms it aside.
Liverpool 1-1 Ajax
Liverpool straight on the attack at the start of the second half but here come Ajax on the break.
Steven Bergwijn sprints clear of Thiago and pulls the ball back for Mohammed Kudus, who falls under a challenge from Mohamed Salah, tracking back.
Absolutely no chance that was a penalty. The Ghanaian just seemed to lose his balance.
Liverpool 1-1 Ajax
Here we go again.
Bayern Munich 0-0 Barcelona
Another glorious chance just wide!
Raphinha is given all the time he needs to fire a shot from the edge of the box. He sends it past the upright.
Bayern Munich 0-0 Barcelona
All we're lacking is a goal. Let's put that right, eh lads?
Bayern have made a change at the break... Leon Goretzka for Marcel Sabitzer, who was booked in the first half.
HT Liverpool 1-1 Ajax
Diogo Jota may not have started a match for Liverpool this season prior to this evening but he has been one of the positives from that first-half performance.
The Portuguese forward has created a couple of good chances for the Reds, including the assist for Mohamed Salah's goal and he's had two shots himself, making him arguably Liverpool's most potent attacking player.

Look, there's no doubt Liverpool have been the better side in this first-half. They should go in ahead. Mo Salah put them ahead, heavy first-touch with a nice finish but then they just switched off at the back. With it being 1-1 at the break, I don’t think Liverpool deserved that.
HT: Liverpool 1-1 Ajax
Ajax completed 26 consecutive passes leading up to Mohammed Kudus' equaliser at the Kop End.
That's the most passes prior to an Ajax goal since Opta started their analysis of the Champions League in 2003-04.
Liverpool 1-1 Ajax
Liverpool have had plenty of efforts on goal (10) but Ajax look so threatening on the break.

It has surprised me a little bit, Ajax’s approach. They like to dominate the ball but they’ve defended deep. Liverpool have had some pretty good chances in this game. And Ajax haven’t played through midfield with the confidence which I expected them to, but that’s largely down to Liverpool’s press.
Liverpool 1-1 Ajax
Liverpool have been dominant in the air and Virgil van Dijk gets another sight of goal from a corner. This time his header lacks the power to beat the Ajax number one Remko Pasveer.
