Now Lucas Moura blasts a low cross over the six-yard box but nobody is there to tap in.

Ooh clumsy clearance attempt by Calvin Bassey from Andy Robertson's ball into the box as the ball bounces up onto his hand. Referee has a good sight of it but no penalty.

I wouldn't trust any of this Tottenham bench to change a lightbulb, let alone the course of this game.

At the Spurs game, one of the worse performances from a Spurs team in living memory. Conte has taken all of the zip, the pressing, the creativity and the confidence away from this side, and then keeps telling anyone who will listen that he needs another three transfer windows to challenge for anything. He is boring us to death and his players look bored too. Not good enough!

The Ajax fans created a brilliant atmosphere for the first 20 minutes or so of this game but all the noise now is from the away end. Liverpool are firmly in control with Ajax looking totally deflated.

That stat of Marcus Edwards being only the 4th Englishman to score against an English team in the Champions League is shocking. English players should go out and play in the foreign leagues more often. Experience the world, different styles, challenge at the sharp end of competitions more often rather than playing for lesser teams in the Prem and never have a chance of winning anything. Might help out the national team too.

It is a lovely Liverpool move - Trent Alexander-Arnold > Mo Salah > Harvey Elliott, who hammers the ball into the roof of the net after being slipped through by Salah.
Stunning start to the second half by Liverpool and the Ajax boss is fuming with the slack start his side has had.

This is much more like it from Spurs. Miles better. Eric Dier swivels and hits a lovely volley which Antonio Adan saves well. A follow-up shot is blocked and Matt Doherty shoots over.
