This is not a penalty. But it has been given.

The referee has gone to the monitor but it's a clear mistake.

    What a run.

USA have a corner but there's some tussling in the area and it's eventually picked up by Lauren Hemp on the edge of the area.

Hemp sets off for goal with Keira Walsh and Beth Mead running to support. Mead takes a poor touch from Hemp's pass and Rose Lavelle is there to poke out of play.

    Well done Naomi Girma.

USA goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher clears but Girma slips and it runs for Keira Walsh who finds Lauren Hemp.

Girma does well and sprints back to put in a perfect challenge on Hemp, who was through on goal.

    Oh, what a ball.

Who else but Sophia Smith. She sends Trinity Rodman on her way with a sublime ball through England's backline.

Rodman runs onto it but Rachel Daly times her tackle well and manages to clear away from Rodman's feet.

USA have yet another set-piece. Megan Rapinoe sends in a lofty free-kick and it's pretty deep, a difficult one for England to deal with.

Trinity Rodman has a chance on goal but she doesn't quite connect with it.

    Better from England.

The Lionesses are just looking to take some intensity out of this game after USA built up a few attacks and England had a few set-pieces to defend.

Double change for USA as Crystal Dunn and Sam Duffey come on for Andi Sullivan and Sofia Huerta.

Dunn only gave birth in May and is back on the pitch at Wembley. Incredible.

Lindsey Horan meanders down the left-hand side and pings a cross in to Megan Rapinoe who is in so much space.

She's got bags of time to get a shot off but it takes a massive deflection and it's out for a corner.

Rapinoe takes that as well but nothing comes of it.

Sloppy play in the middle of the park from England and they are just struggling to keep the ball at their feet.

A lot of mistakes are happening from both sides - giving the ball away and a little frantic at times.

Yes, Sophia Smith has absolutely been the USA's danger woman tonight, but England are without captain and stalwart defender Leah Williamson.

It would've been interesting to see those two up against each other this evening.

Another blistering run from Lauren Hemp.

The ball looks like it's going out but she manages to recover it and makes another driving run into the area.

Beth Mead or Fran Kirby can't pick it up but Lucy Bronze is there and she absolutely hammers her shot but it's in the side netting.

This is so much better from England, they're moving the ball and not being static.
