What a chance for Sophie Howard.
Erin Cuthbert floats in a high ball. Ireland don't deal with it, and Howard has a free header from around seven yards. However, she gets underneath it, and the ball falls just wide.
She had so much more time than she realised.
Lucy Graham hits the deck and Scotland have a free-kick 30 yards out.
It's soft as anything, but Scotland will take it.
Three minutes to go. Time for a hero.

Quote MessageWe're going to need some big characters to stand up and be counted. It's going to take a game-changing player or a special moment.
Scotland 0-1 Republic of Ireland
Caroline Weir turns away as the Republic of Ireland celebrate their opener. Her first-half penalty miss seems a lifetime ago now.
Eight to go.
Scotland have 10 minutes to save their World Cup dream.
Ireland are within touching distance of dream land.

Here she comes!
Abi Harrison receives a huge cheer as she enters the fray at Hampden.
Lucy Graham is on, too. She was terrific off the bench against Austria.
Martha Thomas and Sam Kerr depart, the latter has been unbelievably quiet tonight.

Quote MessageThat's a huge blow. What a simple and effective goal from Amber Barrett. Again, it comes from Scotland losing possession.

Quote MessageThat is a perfect example of what Amber is good at. It's a brilliant, composed finish. I'm delighted for her and she has had to be patient at times. She has come on to score one of the most important goals in Irish football history.
Amber Barrett
Hampden falls silent.
It's an incredible first touch by substitute Barrett who takes the ball in her stride, charges in on goal, and that's before she delivers a sumptuous finish beyond Lee Gibson.
It's a poignant moment as she wheels away, kissing the black armband in tribute to those who perished in the Creeslough explosion.

Quote MessageThe last thing we want to do is sit in our shape and let them come at us. We look better when we press them, particularly with Katie McCabe. We are giving them too much respect at times.
Scotland 0-0 Republic of Ireland
Double change for Scotland as Emma Mukandi and Christy Grimshaw come on for Lisa Evans and Fiona Brown.
Heather Payne also goes off for the Republic, with striker Amber Barrett on.
The delivery from McCabe is whipped to the back post, but Diane Caldwell bundles it wide.
A bit of a let off for the Scots.
Now up the other end, the Irish are lining up a free-kick from about 40 yards.
Hampden waits nervously...
Scotland 0-0 Republic of Ireland
Now it's Claire Emslie's turn to have a shot.
Caroline Weir wrestles the ball away from five defenders on the edge of the Ireland box. Her lay-off to Cuthbert then finds a path to Emslie, only for the sting in her effort to be taken out with a timely block. Scotland knocking on the door, here.
Remember, they need three for automatic World Cup qualification.
Half an hour to go...

A wee stoppage in play as Ireland goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan receives treatment allows for captain Rachel Corsie to gather her players into a huddle to regroup.
What would you be saying?
Scotland 0-0 Republic of Ireland
Much more like it from Weir, there.
Dunfermline's most-famous daughter collects the ball on the half-way line, spins her marker, drives for goal, then sends a relatively comfortable shot at Courtney Brosnan.
The end product may have not been there, but much more spark from Scotland's star player to get Hampden going.

Lisa Evans has really impressed over the two games.
Playing out-with her natural position, she's been solid - aside from the rollicking from Lee Gibson - in defence and her lightning pace is always a threat in attack.
She's kept her old Arsenal team-mate, Ireland captain Katie McCabe, relatively quiet too tonight.
