It was a really positive half from Wales, take away the goal from the end.

They were looking compact in defence and really limiting the space for the Swiss had to play and we got a goal.

But that little lack of fatigue and lack of communication at the end allowed Switzerland to get back into the game.

It was all going so well for Wales, who smothered Switzerland's considerable attacking threat for almost all of that first half.

The increasing frustration of the home crowd offered evidence how well things were going for Wales - but that late goal from PSG's Ramona Bachmann has changed the mood.

Wales' run of five successive clean sheets is over.

Having got themselves in front, Gemma Grainger's side must show their mettle if they are to seize the initiative once more in the second half.

The late goal livened up the home crowd a bit who sense their side is in the ascendency.

The hosts probably didn't want the half to come to a close as they piled on the pressure.

Gemma Evans just dropped off a little there opening up a gap creating space for them to come in and take that opportunity.

A great finish there and nothing Laura O'Sullivan could do and it's probably at the worst possible time Wales could have conceded there.

They'll go in at half-time now and regroup.

What a hammer blow for Wales that goal was.

For 44 minutes Gemma Grainger's side was magnificent, but now it is 1-1 and the hosts have the ascendency again.

But Wales must take heart from how well they have played.

See you in a few, let's have a brew.

    Switzerland 0-1 Wales

Danger women Ramona Bachmann runs directly at Wales almost for the first time, but Rhiannon Roberts denies her with an inch-perfect tackle.

Wales' defensive effort so far has been immense.

They had five clean sheets in a row heading into this game.

BBC Sport Wales at the Stadion Letzigrund

The Switzerland fans are clearly unhappy with what they deem to be time-wasting tactics from the visitors as loud boos ring around the Stadion Letzigrund.

If the home fans were confident of a win before the game, that early goal for Wales has certainly got them more nervy.

    Switzerland 0-1 Wales

Eseosa Aigbogun has a free header at the back post, but no Switzerland players react in the penalty area.

Laura O'Sullivan hasn't really been tested. No wonder the home fans are getting frustrated.

A superb timed tackle from Hayley Ladd.

The danger that was on from the pace that Switzerland have got.

Ladd had to ensure she timed it and she did time it perfectly.

Wales have never been in this situation before, but at the moment they look incredibly calm.

  13. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Switzerland 0-1 Wales

Switzerland really don't like Wales' set-pieces, more holes in their defence than Swiss.... nope, I won't. Too cheesy.

Switzerland try and break, but Hayley Ladd produces a perfect tackle to stop the counter.

So good from Wales so far.

It's been a really good battle between the Swiss number nine (Ana-Marie Crnogorčević) and Gemma Evans this evening.

Evans is a talented defender and has been a consistent throughout the entire campaign and is definitely somebody who has cemented their place within this team.

Now Switzerland have conceded we will see how much they have in them to raise the tempo of the game.

It's going to be a hard period for Wales now to keep their lead until half-time until Gemma Grainger can have a chat with them.
