Credit to Angharad James for that delivery, really on the money right under the goalkeeper.

The Swiss will be disappointed, very poor defending on their part but from the Wales perspective, reacting to that second ball and being clinical (was key).

The next five minutes is crucial now for Wales to keep switched on.

The hosts look rattled. Shocked to be behind.

They were leading their group, let it slip to Italy and now.... well...

The home crowd are absolutely stunned.

Rhiannon Roberts won't have scored many more important goals than that!

They don't have to be pretty to count do they?

    Switzerland 0-0 Wales

    Gwennan Harries
Former Wales striker on BBC Two Wales

I'd like to see Wales when they attacking, they are going to have to show a little more intensity as the game goes on, in terms of getting their fullbacks further forward to support the play.

However they've been quite sensible in this opening ten minutes so far.

Nice and steady and keeping everything tight.

  8. CLOSE!published at 14 mins

    Switzerland 0-0 Wales

Viola Calligaris fires a shot that is just wide of the post.

Through a crowded penalty area, that was dangerous.

    Switzerland 0-0 Wales

    Kath Morgan
Former Wales defender on BBC Cymrufyw

The more we see Sophie Ingle on the ball and creating attacking chances, the better.

Wales have started well and settled in a lot better than I expected but they've got to keep the concentration levels high now.

  10. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Switzerland 0-0 Wales

Another dangerous cross is cleared by Wales.

They'll be content with their start.

Gemma Evans and Hayley Ladd have looked composed.

    Jo Price
Former Wales goalkeeper on BBC Radio Wales

Something that we haven't seen so for in this campaign so far is Kayleigh Green dropping so deep to collect the ball and she's done it a couple of times already so it's clearly in the game plan.

  12. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Switzerland 0-0 Wales

Now Carrie Jones wins Wales a freekick.

But that's poor from Angharad James, doesn't beat the first women and is headed clear.

  13. Postpublished at 5 mins

First attack from Wales as Kayleigh Green drops deep and exchanges passes with Jess Fishlock.

  16. 'Ball possession crucial'published at 2 mins

    Switzerland v Wales (18:00 BST)

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC Two Wales

You expect Switzerland to pose a lot more threat than Bosnia did on Thursday night going forward.

With the quality Switzerland have in forward areas you'd expect them to punish us a lot more than Bosnia did.

It's going to be ball possession and certainly in our own half, keeping the ball is going to be really important.

  17. Postpublished at 1 min

Switzerland in all red, Wales in yellow shirts with green shorts.

Gemma Grainger in no socks, as is her tradition.

I mean, we can't overhype this one can we?

    Forget the permutations.

The loser is not going to the World Cup.

Wales are underdogs tonight, but they have shown they can compete with higher ranked sides.

  20. 'Massive game'published at 17:57 British Summer Time 11 October 2022

    Switzerland v Wales (18:00 BST)

    Gwennan Harries
Former Wales striker on Match of the Day Wales

It's a huge test this evening.

Wales will need to be at the top of their game.

If Wales can utilise the width very well, I can see us winning here this evening.
