That's it from me for the moment.

We will bring you reaction from the Manchester United and Aston Villa camps when we get it and I will be back to bring you live updates of Leicester v Chelsea from 15:00 GMT.

For now, though, I will leave you in the capable hands of Harry De Cosemo, who is across Arsenal v Everton.

    Arsenal 1-0 Everton

    First effort, first goal.

But now Miedema is finding space. She plays in Caitlin Foord, who forces a good save by Emily Ramsey in the Everton goal.

    The resulting corner is cleared.

You've got to say that they deserved the extra goal.

They were denied a goal before that from Leah Galton which probably should have stood.

It was a deserved goal for the fans who came out today.

Manchester United have put on a really good show for them.

  4. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:23 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2022

    Man Utd 5-0 Aston Villa

So Manchester United go top after putting in a five-goal and five-star display to bring up a fourth win in five WSL matches against Aston Villa.

The Midlanders, who remain fifth in the table, have still not found a way of scoring against United. That is now 15 goals conceded without finding the net against the Red Devils.

    Vivianne Miedema

    Oooooh, what a goal.

Vivianne Miedema scores on her return to the side and it is simply brilliant.

She takes down the ball on the left-hand side of the box before dancing feet make some space before bending the ball into the top corner.

    Sumptuous.

    Rachel Williams

A tap in for Rachel Williams to make it five goal for Manchester United in the third minute of stoppage time.

The substitute just has to stand and side-foot it home from a yard out after good work from Ona Batlle down the right.

    Arsenal 0-0 Everton

Laura Wienroither brings the ball forward as Arsenal effortlessly beat another Everton press.

The Toffees are not sitting back, though, and Arsenal are still being kept at arm's length.

I'd call this a pretty good start.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2022

    Man Utd 4-0 Aston Villa

Ella Toone and Leah Galton trot off to a deserved standing ovation as both sides ring the changes.

Toone is replaced by Rachel Williams, while Vilde Bøe Risa comes on for Galton.

Aston Villa's Olivia McLoughlin comes on for Laura Blindkilde.

    Arsenal 0-0 Everton

Foul on Hanna Bennison eases the growing pressure on the Everton defence.

With that said, no clear-cut chances yet.

Aston Villa have had many chances in this half and I think they have turned the screws a little bit.

But for me, it is too little too late and if they had Kenza Dali higher up the pitch, they would have a better chance of going forward.

    Man Utd 4-0 Aston Villa

Leah Galton finishes off what looks to be Manchester United's fifth goal - but the referee has already blown for a foul on the Red Devils' forward.

Anna Patten receives a booking for the challenge.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:10 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2022

    Man Utd 4-0 Aston Villa

Lucía García replaced Alessia Russo for Manchester United immediately after their fourth goal.

It is a case of how many now for the home side - Aston Villa will want to end this game early.

Great goal, great strike. You thought Ona Batlle would go across the goal, but what a goal!

In all fairness, if you was a striker, you would be proud of that.

  14. Postpublished at 14:09 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2022

    Arsenal 0-0 Everton

Miedema is dropping deep as she so often does.

She searches for Blackstenius again and Everton clear for a corner. Thwy are turning the screw now.

    Man Utd 4-0 Aston Villa

The attendance at Old Trafford has been confirmed as 30,196. A bit below the 35,000-plus that had been anticipated, but still a big leap forward for the Manchester United women's team.

    Arsenal 0-0 Everton

First sniff for Arsenal but Gabbie George does well to cut out Miedema's pass.

She was looking for Blackstenius. Arsenal are beginning to build up the pitch.

    Ona Batlle

    Wow...

Not a bad way to chalk up your first goal of the season from the Manchester United right-back.

She absolutely drilled that in off the cross-bar.

You expected a cross from the right of the box but that never looked to cross Ona's mind.

    What a strike.

    Quiet start at Meadow Park.

Arsenal are dominating the ball, but Everton are pressing high.

    Can they keep that up?
