Manchester United manager Marc Skinner speaking to Sky Sports about their dramatic victory against Arsenal last time out: "The euphoria lasted - it comes and goes after the game. For us, it was about the learning lessons, the psychology of those bigger games with all the fans in the stadium.

"Aston Villa are a good team, so we must make sure we respect and try and put our performance. We try to be the Man Utd team that dictates how we perform and not let the opposition dictate the game to us. That's what I am looking forward too."

Aston Villa manager Carla Ward speaking to Sky Sports on integrating goalkeeper Hannah Hampton back into the starting line-up: "She is top class. We all know what she is capable of, so I think she's come back in and she's injury-free. I think that is really important for us because she's a top player. We are delighted to have her back here and we know what she's got in her locker. She will be important for us this afternoon.

"It's good to be recognised [nominated as November's manager of the month] and I think it's a credit to the players, staff and all the work that is happening behind the scenes. I think it is a collective achievement."

Now for the part I know you're all dying to hear about. The food.

As you would expect I'm being very well looked after here at Old Trafford and a colleague said to me yesterday "don't have breakfast before you go!"

I'm glad I didn't. Hopefully this will warm me up for when I venture out into the press box.

The Red Devils are looking to put on a show in front of a big crowd at Old Trafford, with the club set to smash their previous record attendance of 20,241 for a WSL match, set last season.

Homegrown captain Katie Zelem hopes their impressive form this campaign, which included a stunning 3-2 win against Arsenal at the Emirates in their last match, will boost the attendance.

"There's no bigger advertisement for women's football than to be playing at a huge stadium with a great atmosphere," she said.

"It's not my job to be convincing anyone to come, [but] I think our past results and our form is what people should want to come and watch."

Boss Marc Skinner knows what is at stake, too. Winning by two goals or more will see his third-placed side top the table for a few hours before leaders Chelsea take to the field at the King Power Stadium.

"It's about us taking charge of momentum, it's not something given to us, we have to create it. Regardless of how long ago the Arsenal game was, we have to take that quality into this game too."

    Good morning from sunny Manchester!

A glorious day for football and a day for Marc Skinner's side to potentially put themselves at the top of the table and give their title rivals Arsenal something to think about before they take on Everton later on.

Manchester United are playing at Old Trafford for the first time this season and the club have reportedly sold 36,000 or so tickets with more expected on the door.

Old Trafford have even given themselves a new look for the occasion, with giant posters of the women's team plastered across the front of the ground.

  19. Team news - United unchanged from Arsenal win, Daly starts for Villapublished at 12:01 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2022

Not surprising really that Marc Skinner makes no changes from his Manchester United side that secured a dramatic late victory over Arsenal at Emirates Stadium last time out.

Alessia Russo and Ella Toone both start, along with Nikita Parris, while Katie Zelem will lead her side out at Old Trafford.

Man Utd XI: Earps, Batlle, Blundell, Toone, Zelem, Galton, Ladd, Le Tissier, Turner, Parris, Russo

Subs: Baggaley, Thorisdottir, Tounkara, Boe Risa, Staniforth, Garcia, Leon, Thomas, Williams
