Better start to this half for Villa, they have gone 60 seconds without gifting Brighton a goal.

Erik ten Hag is still trying to reform the club. I would say it's still not his way of football so still in progress. At the moment, I have a feeling it’s just about winning the games, getting some points, getting into the Champions League spots, that’s the key for this season. As soon as the transfer window opens, you will see some new names.
Now Manchester United, if Cristiano Ronaldo who is playing up front, you can’t play the same way like if you press all the time like for example how Salzburg does. You can’t do that. So you have to adapt a little bit with the players.

A draw is a good reflection of the game so far, a good open and expansive game. Villa with a sloppy, sloppy start. Martinez really put Douglas Luiz in a lot of trouble but they reacted well from the Mac Allister goal and had their own chances on the attack.
A bit more quality possibly could have seen Villa take the lead in this game. Really looking forward to this second half.

Promotion, relegation, promotion, relegation, promotion...
Fulham have been the ultimate 'yo-yo' club over the past five seasons, but they're looking well placed to end the up and down run and avoid an immediate return to the Championship they won last season.
They sit ninth in the Premier League and a win will leave them above Chelsea, level on points with Liverpool and only one behind today's opponents Manchester United before the season pauses for six weeks for the World Cup.
Fulham owner Shahid Khan is understandably delighted with the season so far and wrote in the matchday programme: "I continue to be impressed, though not surprised, by the guidance and leadership of head coach Marco Silva and his staff, as well as the determination and performance of your club.
"We can be very proud of what we've achieved to date. Already more than one-third of the way through the campaign to hold our position and even climb the table - that's as favourable a scenario in the top flight as we've experienced at this point of the season in my time as your chairman, long may it last.
"I'm particularly pleased we've competed and gained results playing Marco's entertaining brand of football and have done so with so many players who were instrumental in capturing the Championship and earning promotion last season.
"The level of competition we face is vastly superior to a year ago but we continue to be worthy opponents from match to match. We're currently enjoying the stability we've sought in our prior two returns to the Premier League and that's a credit to everyone involved."

Cristiano Ronaldo is a doubt because of illness and Antony will have a late test on a pelvic injury.

A pretty entertaining first half comes to an end.

Brighton's seventh corner of the game. This is the side Pascal Gross tried to score from last time. I'm not sure whether that is the aim this time but it flies over the keeper's head and wide of the far post.

Three minutes added on. We've had a penalty, an injury and two goals.

Brighton fans suggest Villa keeper Emiliano Martinez took too long over a goal-kick. They may have had a point.
When he eventually takes it, it lands to team-mate Boubacar Kamara, who attempts to score with a 50-yard volley.
The Villa midfielder had spotted Robert Sanchez off his line but his volley was very off target.

It's turned into a basketball match now. From one attack to the next between the two teams. Frantic.

The important thing is Harry Maguire is going...

It seems some people were surprised Mings was not in the England WC squad. Really? He's nowhere near good enough for international football. Looks casual, nervous, poor tackler, distribution average.

Solly March catches Villa out with a quick throw-in and Boubacar Kamara boots it behind for a corner. March takes and Emiliano Martinez catches.

Feisty couple of minutes there. Brighton tried to clear their lines and didn't do it very well, Aston Villa sustained their attacks. There is a real good tempo to this game.

Villa's first attack in a little while as Danny Ings flicks the ball back to Jacob Ramsey, whose 20-yard shot is blocked by a good Lewis Dunk tackle.
Brighton clear the resulting corner.
