    FT: Fulham 1-2 Man Utd

Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen: "I think in the end we're just happy with the three points. It was a hard fought game on both ends but just happy with the win."

On his first goal for Man Utd: "About time! I owed a few so I'm happy to be on the scoresheet in the last game before the World Cup. It's been a good week.

"Last week wasn't good with the loss at Villa but it's picked up since then. We had a point to prove in the cup, a win today and now onto the World Cup."

On the World Cup: "It starts and it's football, no matter where it is. It's football, we qualified and we'll play.

"A lot has been written, there's a lot of focus on how it's happened and why it's in Qatar. I don't agree with how it's happened but we're footballers and we play football. Change has to come from somewhere else."

Rob: Yep Luke and Mubeen, Ten Hag's been terrible with those substitutions eh? Have some faith!

Mick: Luke and Mubeen, what was that about ten Hag?

Zac: People need to learn to wait till the end of the game before they start criticising Ten Hag's substitutions...

    Fulham 1-2 Man Utd

Alejandro Garnacho's heatmap shows what an impact he had to turn around Manchester United's attacking woes in that second half.

They had struggled to cause Fulham problems but his introduction 20 minutes from time definitely helped turn the tide in their favour.

Looks like he barely backtracked though... United won't care too much if he keeps coming up with the goods, mind.

It's an amazing run from Man United, an amazing turn around and to win it so dramatically, so late in the game. That's also credit to them for never giving up, continuing to push forward, taking their chances. Man United didn't have as many chances as Fulham today, the difference is that they've taken theirs.

Chris: Flashback to a solo run by a certain Cristiano Ronaldo against Fulham back in February 2007…

    James: Garnacho.... who else?

Well, our reporter at Craven Cottage, Michael Emons called it (see 18:18 post).

Not so sure about Mubeen's substitutions criticisms (see 18:19 post) after Garnacho's impact though... although one swallow doesn't make a summer of course.

United catch Fulham out of position, outnumbered and it was a simple tap in for Garnacho into the far post, no chance for Leno. That one-touch pass from Eriksen is sublime, the weight on it, the direction of it was absolutely brilliant.

    Fulham 1-2 Man Utd

There was barely time for the game to restart.

You have to feel for Fulham, who deserved a point from that.

But Manchester United came on strong late on after a fairly ropey second half and what a player Alejandro Garnacho looks.

He's added a match-winning goal to the two match-winning assists he laid on against Aston Villa in midweek.

    Alejandro Garnacho (90+3 mins)

    Oh my.

Well, we asked if he could make an impact - and just like Dan James did for Fulham, so has Alejandro Garnacho.

A wonderful one-two with Christian Eriksen on the edge of the box and the Argentinian teenager races into the area to slot a wonderfully cool finish across Bernd Leno.

Luke: Some of Ten Hag's formation decisions in the last few games have been absolutely bizarre. United have been on the back foot since McTominay came on.

Mubeen: Ten Hag's substitutions all season has been worrying.

Three minutes of injury time. A draw would probably be fair after a pulsating, frantic second half, but there is still time for a dramatic finish to the first half of this Premier League season like no other.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 90+1 mins

    Fulham 1-1 Man Utd

Fulham bring on Josh Onomah for Tom Cairney.

There's a minimum of three minutes of added time.

Will probably be four now after that change.

Andreas Pereira down after a blow to the head. Looked like he ran into Marcus Rashford's shoulder.

No intent from the United man at all.

Think most people (including me) expected them to struggle this year and it's still a long season left but fair play to Fulham. More then held their own in the Premier League so far and clearly not just here to make up the numbers.

Tim Ream can only help on a United cross to Bruno Fernandes at the far post but he tries a looping header that falls tamely off target.

Did he have time to take a touch there?

Dan James gave Lisandro Martinez about 10 yards start on the old push and run, and still got there first down the right.

Another headed chance for Scott McTominay, this one from much further out.

He gets it on target but it's easy for Bernd Leno.

Anon: Just so I understand the rules - what we're saying is that a defender can kick an attacker, and it's called 'easing them off the ball' and isn't a foul...?! I'd like to see where in the laws of the game it says 'a trip is foul, unless it's easing a player off the ball' because I don't think it does say that!

Beppe: That is a stonewall penalty on Garnacho. The defender has taken his legs. What is the point of VAR?

Manny: Garnacho is pushed and tripped all at once. I've seen much, much softer penalties being called stonewall. United couldn't buy a decision right now.
