The last Premier League game before the World Cup has not disappointed and both sides have had chances to go 2-1 up, but Joao Palhinha's overhead kick was saved by David de Gea before Scott McTominay should have done better than head over when free in the area.

Are we going to get a dramatic winner? Five minutes plus injury time left on the clock.

Maguire would have buried that header, wouldn't he?

Is it time to put Maguire up front yet?

Another big chance for United. McTominay stayed on the ground for a little bit with his head in the turf. He cannot believe he didn't get it on target. It was a really good opportunity, a free header from five yards out.

That should have been 2-1 United. But they'll at least be pleased they are creating again after a pretty barren second half from their point of view.

    Big chance. Big miss.

Alejandro Garnacho sends the overlapping Luke Shaw to the byline and he crosses into the six-yard box where Scott McTominay plants a free header over.

For perhaps the first time today, Bruno Fernandes' delivery lets him down.

He picks up Luke Shaw's overhit cross but sends the return ball wildly into the stands, much to the delight of the Craven Cottage faithful.

Silly foul to give away in a dangerous situation. Shaw steps across Decordova-Reid. He is trying to remonstrate with the referee but it is a clear foul.

It's a wonderful ball in from Pereira, unfortunately Palhinha doesn't get his header on target, he gets too much on it.

Fulham have had 68 per cent possession in the past 15 minutes. And they have a free-kick out wide.

Andreas Pereira picks out Joao Palhinha on the penalty spot but he sends a free header well over.

Once again far too many missed chances from Rashford and Martial - it's been like this for five years, definitely the weakest forward line in the top six.

Garnacho is causing Fulham problems, another direct run into the box. The defenders crowd him out on this occasion but he's having the impact Erik ten Hag would have wanted.

There was contact there in Reid's challenge, you know. And he didn't get much of the ball, if any. But I've given up debating VAR decisions.

    Garnacho nearly does, you know.

A couple stepovers and Bobby Decordova-Reid eases him out.

Garnacho goes down and VAR has a look but nothing doing.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 73 mins

    Fulham 1-1 Man Utd

Alejandro Garnacho - hero of United's Carabao Cup win over Aston Villa in midweek - is on for Anthony Martial.

Can the Argentine make another big impression?

Superb overhead kick from Joao Palhinha but it's too close to David de Gea who punches it away.

Man United are still a little bit rattled after that equaliser. They haven't got into the game since the restart. It's all been Fulham. But we also know the danger Man United possess. Give them half a chance, they can easily go up the other end and punish Fulham.

They are going to both have to be very careful not to concede the next goal.

Lovely run from Dan James down the right as he skins Lisandro Martinez but for some reason decides to cut back inside and beat him again.

He does dig out a cross but Victor Lindelof heads it wide.

    Fulham 1-1 Man Utd

Man Utd have offered little in an attacking sense for the past 15 minutes and Anthony Martial's wayward pass in attempting to set Marcus Rashford free kind of sums up their second-half efforts going forward.

Daniel James is the 10th player to score a Premier League goal against Manchester United having previously appeared for them in the competition.

No, I don't know the other nine but that's a nice little Sunday night trivia teaser you can attempt later before Googling the answers (other search engines available).

Bit of a stoppage as Marcus Rashford slips and gets cracked on the back of the head, accidentally, by Bobby Decordova-Reid's knee.
