    Torquay 0-1 Derby

Big chance for Derby to double their lead!

James Collins sends a cross into Lewis Dobbin but he gets the header all wrong from close-range and the ball ends up in the crowd rather than the net.

A let-off for Torquay who need to get into the changing only one behind.

You do think it won't take much more pressure from Cambridge United to possibly take the lead here.

But I'm hopeful that Curzon Ashton just play as well as they have done and can keep going in these tiring final minutes.

    Torquay 0-1 Derby

A better spell from Torquay at last as we approach the break.

They force a couple of corners in quick succession and then send a dangerous looking cross into the box but there's no one there to get on the end of it.

Can they find a way back into this before half-time?

    Torquay 0-1 Derby

Dean Moxey has had a bit of torrid afternoon against his old club and is taken off with what looks like a knock. Dylan Crowe is the new man on.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing had caused Moxey and Torquay all sorts of problems.

He makes space again and lashes a powerful shot away which doesn't miss by much.

The Gulls made a combative start but as the half has gone on so Derby have taken more and more control of the game.

Harvey Knibbs has a shot from outside the Curzon Ashton box with time ticking down for Cambridge to wrap this up.

But the hosts deal with it well as keeper Chris Renshaw collects.

Soon after, Renshaw is called into action again, this time as Lewis Simper tries his luck.

It was coming. It was great play from Derby down the right hand side, Max Bird got forward, it was a good ball into the box and a great finish from Will Osula.

He went to the near post where every striker wants to be and scores.

He and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing have been a threat and the Torquay defence have hands on hips, knowing they're going to be in for a tough afternoon.

Jack Lankester is the latest Cambridge player to see his shot blocked by Curzon Ashton.

GOAL: Torquay 0-1 Derbypublished at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2022

    Will Osula (27 mins)

Derby had been building up a head of steam and their dominance is rewarded with a goal.

It's nicely worked down the right - where much of the Rams' good work has taken place - and Max Bird sends a dangerous ball across goal to find Will Osula who beats his man to the ball and guides it home beautifully.

What have Torquay got in way of a response?

I think Torquay have done ok off the ball so far, but now the game's being played more in their half than any other part of the pitch.

The Gulls need to dig in a little bit here.

    Torquay 0-0 Derby

Speaking to ITV Sport, Torquay manager Gary Johnson says he thinks Sibley should have seen red for the high challenge on Lapslie.

Not a surprise that he should think that really but there you go!

He will be pleased with how his team have negotiated the game so far - although they are starting to get pinned back a little.

    Curzon Ashton 0-0 Cambridge

Shilow Tracey does well to beat his marker before pulling it back as Cambridge go on the attack.

But Curzon Ashton do well to defend.

Is there a goal in this tie?!

    Torquay 0-0 Derby

As is the way with these things, Louie Sibley, who could have seen red for that challenge a short time ago, almost puts Derby ahead.

He skews the effort wide of the target.

Sibley wouldn't be a popular goalscorer among Torquay fans!

There's plenty going on in this one, you can't take your eyes off it - great entertainment.

Sibley's foot was probably about five feet off the ground. I think he's a tad fortunate.
