    That's as far as we go in here today.

    Sheffield United thumped leaders Burnley 5-2 in the day's first game.

    Blackburn claimed a 1-0 win over Huddersfield in today's only other home win to go back above the Blades and into second, one point behind rivals Burnley.

    West Brom remain in the relegation zone despite victory at fifth-placed QPR.

    • Blackburn Rovers the only one of the home sides to win in the entire league in the 15:00 GMT kick offs. They claim a 1-0 success over bottom side Huddersfield and go back up to second.
    • Norwich go fourth with a 2-1 win at Rotherham but fifth-placed QPR fall to a 1-0 home defeat by struggling West Brom.
    • Coventry record a club-record fifth successive away clean sheet in a 1-0 win at Watford.
    • In-form Birmingham win 2-1 at out-of-sorts Stoke and Luton win 1-0 at Blackpool.
    • Swansea fight back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Wigan and Cardiff win 1-0 at Sunderland.
    • Michael Carrick's first home game in charge of Middlesbrough ends in a 1-1 draw with Bristol City and Liam Rosenior's first game as Hull boss finishes 0-0 at Millwall despite the Tigers playing the whole of the second half with 10 men after striker Oscar Estupinan's red card.

    After that goalfest between Sheffield United and Burnley in the early game, it was a much tighter and more intriguing affair in the 3pm kick-offs.

    Cardiff move level on points with Sunderland in mid-table after an impressive victory in the north-east.

    The Welsh side missed a first-half penalty but still take the points thanks to Mark Harris' goal.

    An entertaining game with plenty of openings but the points are shared.

    Boro's Chuba Akpom cancelled out Andreas Weimann's first-half goal.

    Hull City hold on for a point in Liam Rosenior's first game in charge.

    Striker Oscar Estupinan was sent off for the away side in the first half but Millwall could not make their numerical advantage count.

    Stoke City 1-2 Birmingham City

    Stoke City's skid continues and Birmingham City continue their excellent run.

    The visitors always the better side through 90+ minutes.

    The Potters had a chance to claw themselves back into the game when they cut their deficit by half following a 75th minute penalty, but they were too far gone by that point.

    Huddersfield gave it everything but it's another defeat and they remain bottom of the table.

    Riley McGree and Max O'Leary have been doing battle all afternoon and again the Robins goalkeeper palms away the Australian's effort.

    So many chances in this game but it looks like the spoils will be shared.

    Both sides held their own in the first half and it was goalless at the break.

    Viktor Gyökeres fired home on the 50th minute and the visitors never looked back.

    Disappointing for Watford but a well deserved three points for the visitors.
