Hamilton Accies v Ayr United (19:45)

These sides have met once already this season, with a late goal meaning they shared a point at Somerset Park in August.

Dipo Akinyemi put United ahead after only three minutes before Andy Winter's equaliser. However, the league's top scorer would then miss a penalty before Irishman Dan O'Reilly put Accies ahead.

It wasn't until the 85th minute that Lee Bullen's side finally responded through Andy Murdoch.

  7. Ayr need to be 'on their toes' - Bullenpublished at 19:41 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2022

Hamilton Accies v Ayr United (19:45)

Ayr United manager Lee Bullen tells BBC Scotland: "It's a nice incentive, but we're not going to get ahead of ourselves. It'll be a tough game tonight. Hamilton's midweek win will lift them.

"We had a tough game against them at the start of the season, so we really need to be on our toes to get anything out of this game.

"I've been reminding my players how tough our last game against Hamilton was. We've got to be up to speed against this team who have a good young manager."

  8. 'Anybody can beat anybody' - Rankinpublished at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2022

Hamilton Accies v Ayr United (19:45)

Hamilton Accies manager John Rankin tells BBC Scotland: "We go away to Rangers on Tuesday night and score three goals and get clean sheet. We can use that as a bit of momentum for tonight.

"You just need to look at the home results. We've only won one home against Arbroath, which is hugely disappointing. On recent form, we've scored a good few at home and we've got our strikers back fit. We want to cause problems tonight.

"In this league, anybody can beat anybody."

Only the one to speak of tonight - Josh Mullin.

The on-loan Livingston midfielder spent last season at New Douglas Park after being signed by Brian Rice - who resigned less than a week later. He made 34 appearances for the Lanarkshire club, scoring three goals.

He joined Ayr on a season-long loan this summer.

One glimmer of hope for Accies is that the last four games between these two sides have finished as draws.

The last home win at New Douglas Park was all the way back in 2012, when an 89th-minute strike from Jon McShane made it 3-2 to Accies.
