    England 3-0 Japan

Former England midfielder Karen Carney, speaking on ITV: "It was a tidy finish from Ella Toone. Lauren James was just driving through, she'll be disappointed with the pass but Salmon got it and found Toone.

"Good work from the subs in the build up."

    Ella Toone (76 mins)

    Great finish.

England absolutely tear through the Japan defence and it falls to Ebony Salmon who plays a lovely little reverse pass to Ella Toone.

Toone just slots her shot in and it ricochets off the inside of the post into the net.

Beth Mead was on hand to tuck away the rebound if needed but Toone found the sweet spot and Mead's service wasn't required.

    England 2-0 Japan

Japan have a free-kick in a dangerous area and Yui Hasegawa sends in a teasing ball but Millie Bright is the first to get a head on it. Solid stuff form the Chelsea centre-back.

    England 2-0 Japan

England happy to play it around at the back.

The Lionesses defence hasn't been massively tested but Esme Morgan and Naimh Charles, both making their first England starts, have done really well at the back.

A long ball is huffed up from Millie Bright at the back but headed away by Japan.

It's all gone a bit flat at the moment but England are undoubtedly on top.

Short corner by Japan and Georgia Stanway blocks the cross.

She's on the ground but looks like she's just been winded.

    England 2-0 Japan

First sniff of the ball for Chelsea's Lauren James and she tries to drive into the middle of the park but is dispossessed.

It's gone a bit quiet as those substitutions just try to settle into the game.

Couple of Lionesses changes as Chloe Kelly and Alessia Russo make way for Ebony Salmon and Lauren James.

Lovely ball from Keira Walsh who had time in the middle to whip one in.

No one able to get on the end of it, though.

Ella Toone sends Chloe Kelly chasing her long ball and she fancies another goal. She pings one with her right foot towards goal but it's miles over and doesn't trouble Ayaka Yamashita.

Georgia Stanway was in the box and Kelly probably could've played her in but Kelly fancied her chances.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 56 mins

    England 2-0 Japan

Quick change for Japan as Mina Tanaka comes on for Arsenal's Mana Iwabuchi.

    England 2-0 Japan

That is Chloe Kelly's first goal for England since scoring the winner in the Euros final against Germany.

That seems to have stirred up a rendition of Sweet Caroline from the crowd in attendance in Murcia.

    Ah, memories.

    England 2-0 Japan

Former England midfielder Karen Carney, speaking on ITV: "Brilliant, brilliant strike. I think we were all thinking it was a missed chance for Russo but Kelly arrives and smashes it in left-footed. Loads of power and the keeper has no chance.

"She's been a really big threat tonight."

    Well deserved.

Beth Mead drives down the right-hand side and fires a square ball across to Alessia Russo but it's a bit heavy and passes Russo by.

Chloe Kelly is arriving at the far past and absolutely hammers it into the back of thet net.

    Ayaka Yamashita had no chance.

She has been really dangerous tonight and that is a very well taken and well deserved goal.

Oh lovely through ball from Keira Walsh slides through to Georgia Stanway. The Bayern Munich forward crosses into the box but Saki Kumagai beats Alessia Russo to it.

No changes for either side at half time, by the way.

Hinata Miyazagawa carries the ball through the midfield and is looking for Yui Hasegawa but there's an England body in the way and the Lionesses have the opportunity to break.

Alessia Russo is on the deck, not a sight you want to see from the Manchester United forward who has so recently returned from injury.

She looks OK to carry on.

"The goal again comes from a Kelly cross. It’s all come from Chloe Kelly’s crosses.”
