England 0-0 Japan
First real sign of Japan coming forward.
Jun Endo plays a long floated ball over the top to try and find Mana Iwabuchi but there's an England defender in the way.
England are straight to the other end and Chloe Kelly manages a good delivery but Ella Toone's shot is a bit scuffed and it goes wide.
England 0-0 Japan
Chloe Kelly does well on the left to keep hold of the ball near the corner flag. She manages to get a cross away which finds Keira Walsh, but she's pulled up for offside.
England 0-0 Japan
It is all England so far.
It's not particularly quick though. There has been a lot of rain in Spain today so the pitch is likely pretty damp.
England 0-0 Japan
Beth Mead, playing in her 50th appearance, picks up the ball in midfield, she's looking to find the through ball to Chloe Kelly but it's straight to the feet of a Japan defender.
England 0-0 Japan
This will be a good test for England, particularly with some young players out there.
England happy to just keep the ball for now as Ella Toone latches onto a loose ball in midfield and plays a one two with Alessia Russo.
It's a great effort from range from Toone and she forces a decent save from goalkeeper Ayaka Yamashita.

England manager Sarina Wiegman, speaking to ITV on Lucy Bronze: “She is negative for Covid, but she has a minor injury so we’re not taking any risks. It’s nothing to worry about but now isn’t the time to take risks.”
On Alessia Russo: “She has worked really, really hard to get back. She hasn’t played too much yet though so we need to be careful. But really excited to have her back.”
On Japan: “They play a different style of play to what we have faced in the last 12 months. They are very disciplined, very technical and tactical too. So very different to the opponents we’ve had recently, but I hope we can dominate.”

Former England striker Ian Wright, speaking on ITV: "I’m very fond of Beth Mead and it was a bit disappointing to see (her comments on the lack of diversity in the England squad being "coincidental"). But I rang Beth, we had a great chat – what was said will stay between us – but I feel it was a massive moment of reflection and learning for her.
“It’s another moment for us and everyone around it to see this for what it is. It’s a systemic problem and we’re dealing with it in incidents. We need to start dealing with the systemic problem.”

England manager Sarina Wiegman says "we need to do more" to improve diversity in English women's football.
In the Euro 2022 squad, there were only three mixed-heritage players: Jess Carter, Nikita Parris and Demi Stokes.
"I do think we need to do more, to give access to anyone who wants to play football," said Wiegman.
It comes after England and Arsenal forward Beth Mead drew criticism for saying the makeup of the team's roster was "coincidental".
