He's cleared to carry on but the video hoarding itself is more worse for wear. I'm no technician but it looks broke to me.

That's a blow to Blackburn. They don't tend to lose many games when Sam Gallagher is in the side.

His height is a loss both in defence and in attack.

Despite indicating he was okay to continue, Sam Gallagher is forced off for Blackburn.

He's replaced by Jack Vale just as Burnley almost take the lead, with Callum Brittain blocking Josh Cullen's attetmpted shot from close range.

We said before the game that it wouldn't be won in the first 10 minutes.

Burnley have dominated. Blackburn have defended well. It's a stalemate, but not the most appealing match if you're a neutral.

What a couple of saves from Thomas Kaminski!

The free-kick is sent into the Blackburn box and Ben Brereton Diaz looks to handle just before Taylor Harwood-Bellis's header tests Kaminski who makes the save.

Then soon after, Ashley Barnes forces him into another fingertip save to keep it goalless.

Both teams know what this game means and it's a bit cagey.

Blackburn are trying to stop Burnley and when Blackburn have the ball, Burnley are pressing them trying to get it back.

Blackburn have protected Thomas Kaminski really well but they've not offered anything at the other end.

Josh Cullen plays a wayward lofted pass back to Ian Maatsen in the Burnley half which goes out for a Blackburn throw-in.

Rather than go on the attack, the visitors work the ball about midfield, with Ben Brereton Diaz somehow flagged offside not a million miles away from the centre circle.

It's been that kind of first half, folks. Edgy. Neither side wanting to give anything away and the action confined to a lot of passing.

You would have thought that Blackburn will have to change their gameplan at some point.

They string together a set of passes and enter the Burnley half for the first time in a while, but they can't work a shot away inside the box before the hosts deal with the danger.

Well it's been all Burnley in this first half so far but so far the hosts haven't hit the target.

Blackburn are defending well and their latest effort sees them stop Ashley Barnes before he can run into the box.
