  1. Penalty confusionpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 4 January 2023

    Leeds 1-1 West Ham

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Elland Road

It looked for all the world like referee David Coote was playing an advantage when Jarrod Bowen went down.

When West Ham shot wide, I expected the whistle to go for the penalty.

Obviously that didn't happen but I am surprised Coote didn't spot the foul.

Jesse Marsch is getting annoyed at some decisions going against Leeds but he can't argue with that one.

    Aston Villa 0-1 Wolves

The Villa fans are urging their side to press forward.

They respond by sending Matty Cash away down the right but Wolves are back in numbers and see off the threat.

Oliver: Spurs just embarrassing. Absolutely 0 penetration in these dull, lengthy, slow attacks, and permanently look like conceding in defence. Atrocious individually and as a team. How have we gone so far backwards? Results this season flatter us.

D: Once Spurs have a fully fit squad to choose from I think they will be challenging.... for 7th or 8th.

  4. CLOSE!published at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 4 January 2023

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Tottenham

Again, Spurs are scrappy clearing their lines and Joachim Andersen picks up the ball. He takes a touch before smashing a superb dipping strike just wide.

Tottenham cannot get out of their half at the moment.

    Ridiculous penalty, what a penalty!

The keeper goes the right way but the strike is so good. It goes high up into the corner. That's a big goal, it was a proper precious penalty executed as good as you'll see.

Sammo: Just feels like Villa need to get the ball to Watkins more. Wolves look scared of him.

    Lucas Paqueta

    It's all level!

Lucas Paqueta stutters in his run but lifts the ball into the corner of the net. No chance for Illan Meslier.

It's a crucial goal for West Ham, who have grown into this game in the last 10 minutes.

  9. PENALTY TO WEST HAMpublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 4 January 2023

    Leeds 1-0 West Ham

David Coote rules that Pascal Struijk did trip Jarrod Bowen. It's a penalty and a big chance for West Ham to get back into this game.

  10. CLOSE!published at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 4 January 2023

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Tottenham

    A let off for Tottenham!

Oliver Skipp loses the ball in the middle of the pitch and Wilfried Zaha is away. He shows great footwork to get between two players before finding Jordan Ayew, whose low strike is straight at Hugo Lloris.

  11. VAR

This could be a penalty. It's got to be given, all day long.

  13. Postpublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 4 January 2023

    Leeds 1-0 West Ham

West Ham are screaming for a penalty!

Jarrod Bowen goes to ground under a challenge from Pascal Struijk. The referee says no as West Ham continue to attack, setting up a chance that Pablo Fornals rolls wide.

  14. Postpublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 4 January 2023

    Leeds 1-0 West Ham

The ball is in the net, but the flag is up!

West Ham think for a second they might be level but Tomas Soucek is well off when he leaps in to head home at the second attempt.

The Hammers remain a threat, though.

  15. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 4 January 2023

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Tottenham

A bit better from Tottenham now as Harry Kane rises to meet a cross from the right. The England striker is quite far from goal but nods wide anyway.

Coufal hits it so high, it had every chance, we're watching thinking it's in but it just drops on to the roof of the net. That would have been incredible, great effort.

  18. Postpublished at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 4 January 2023

    Aston Villa 0-1 Wolves

Twenty-five minutes in and Wolves are doing a fine away job on Villa here.

They are holding the home side at bay, frustrating them. They have the lead and look like adding to it on the break rather than seeing parity restored.

Villa's display is chalk and cheese to that at Tottenham.

  19. 'I feel that they are just a little bit jaded'published at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 4 January 2023

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Spurs

    Glenn Murray
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

There is no questioning this Tottenham Hotspur's ability. They're either not playing for the manager or they're just tired and I think it is the second one of those two reasons. I feel that they are just a little bit jaded, they had a lot of players at the World Cup and have a lack of forward momentum.

  20. Postpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 4 January 2023

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Tottenham

Cheick Doucoure's shot smacks into Eric Dier and Michael Olise picks up the loose ball but he rushes his effort and sends it well over.
