Former Chelsea winger Joe Cole on BT Sport: "This Fulham team, like most teams, would have been thinking 40 points and getting there as soon as they can. They won't believe the situation they are in.

"They can start to think about Europe once they get to 40 points. They have been outstanding. They rode some tricky periods of the game tonight. They defended brilliantly well.

"You have to credit Marco Silva and the club for their recruitment. They are going in the right direction."

It’s party time at Craven Cottage. The home players are doing a well deserved lap of honour and no-one is going home from the home fans.

There’s bouncing fans everywhere you look - apart from the Chelsea fans of course - as Gala’s Freed From Desire is blared out, sparking a huge singalong. What a day and what a season for Fulham.

What an evening for Fulham who now move up to sixth and above Liverpool in the Premier League table.

It’s now only two wins in 10 matches in all competitions for Graham Potter’s team. The sending off of Joao Felix on his debut proved crucial and he will now miss Chelsea’s next three matches too.

That kind of sums up where Chelsea are at the moment - nothing is going for them and it’s a tough, tough time for their fans and manager.

It’s an evening the Fulham fans won’t forget in a hurry. The hosts get the three points.

Mark A Notley: We're in a very low moment right now.. injuries & poor form have us sliding down the table. The pile-in from the media, opposition fans and our own is warranted. This isn't the Chelsea we expect & with all we've spent it's laughable. It's going to be a long season.

Chelsea should be lucky to get a young, progressive manager like Potter, but it's like they feel entitled to instant success, well, as a Man United fan, I can say it doesn't work that way. Patience is key and if you don't have it, Potter will certainly be successful elsewhere. At what point to the fans start to actually look at the players who have been terrible for a while and the awful recruitment "strategy"?

Chelsea go route one in an effort to equalise and Kai Havertz breaks clear of the defence. Is he offside? The flag stays down and he lets the ball drop over his shoulder before volleys at goal but Bernd Leno saves.

Chelsea's inability to score remains their undoing. Since Costa and Hazard left the final third cutting edge has gone. Match stats usually show most possession and most shots, but limited return in terms of goals. Chelsea's defence also far more leaky than previously. Altogether the team is not the sum of the parts.

Andreas Pereira has delivered some cracking crosses tonight. He pings another right into the middle of the Chelsea box but the visitors are able to clear the danger.

Chelsea have spent £400m to be on 10th place. May need extra cover to fill in for Felix's ban. They're certainly a work in progress. Worst transfer of this season was letting Tammy go to Roma.

I've tried to support Potter as much as possible but enough is enough. He is out of his depth. We need a goal and he leaves our striker on the bench. Absolutely absurd decision.
