New referees' chief Howard Webb is working his way round the Premier League, speaking with managers about any issues they have.
By coincidence, he went to Wolves last week, days after Julen Lopetegui was left furious at decisions that went against his side at Liverpool.
Clearly, City are also on the list. Oh to be a fly on the wall when Webb meets Pep Guardiola.
Brighton v Liverpool (15:00 GMT)

It's clear that Leandro Trossard is hot property at the moment. Liverpool are showing interest and many other teams are big suitors.
With that in the background, his agent will push for something to happen. He probably wants to win trophies and is looking at Brighton thinking 'is this a team where I am going to progress and win trophies?"
A top six team would guarantee him that.

Manchester United
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag to BT Sport: "The first half we played very well. We defended very well and broke in good opportunities. We were really happy at half-time.
"After half-time we had to sub Martial, he had some complaints, and the game changed. City came in, we were not proactive. They scored. The spirit of the team is so huge, the belief is there that the game is 90 minutes and we can fight back.
"I’m really happy with the performance of the team."
On Bruno Fernandes' controversial goal: "I can see it from the other side as well. The rules, it’s a confusing moment for the back line of the opponent. The rules say Marcus didn't touch the ball and he wasn’t interfering. Bruno came from the back – but I can see it from the other side."
On Rashford recovering from a first-half knock: "Players have to be resilient. You get kicked in a game. It happened and it hurts but you have to keep going. You have to do it to get the right result and performance. Deal with the painful moment and the game will go on. In top football you have to suffer and sacrifice to get the right result.
"The belief is back and we're in a good direction. You have to work out of possession [against teams like City]. They have qualities in split-moments to score goals. We saw that today. One mistake and they scored."

A tribute to guitarist Jeff Beck has just been read out at Molineux.
Beck died earlier this week. His 'Hi Ho Silver Lining' song has been adapted by a few clubs as their signature tune.
Wolves are one.
FT: Man Utd 2-1 Man City
Manchester City
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola talking to BBC Match of the Day: "Congratulations to United. People will understand how nice Manchester City is. It was a fantastic game. We controlled the transitions better in the second half against Rashford and their fast players. We had the right spirit to do it. We were close and we have to improve when we concede the goal, be more stable, the gap between the first and second goal is too close. In general I have no regrets. I don't care if we don't win the Carabao Cup or the Premier League, we'll try. I don't care when a team performs how we play. It was quite similar to the many, many years we've been here.
"There are plenty of points to play for and we have to play there. In every game we have to perform. We always play in these sort of games and in others we struggle a little bit."
On the equaliser: "Marcus Rashford is offside, Bruno Fernandes is not. Rashford distracted our keeper and centre defenders. It is what it is. We know where we play. It is difficult for the referees in these stadiums."
On what they could improve: "Maybe our threat up front. Our people up front were not decisive. They run really well and punish us in the counter attack."
After the game: "Nothing happened. I know how we behave. We've finished above them five or six years in a row, I know exactly how we behave."
Everton v Southampton (15:00 GMT)
Several banners and flags, each calling for the Everton board to leave, have already been unfurled at Goodison Park.
Nottingham Forest v Leicester (15:00 GMT)
Leicester City's Jamie Vardy has scored just one goal in his 18 Premier League appearances this season, his fewest goals after 18 league appearances in a season since 2014-15 (also one).
Will he get back on the scoresheet today?
Nottingham Forest v Leicester (15:00 GMT)
Leicester City are without a league win since before the World Cup and there is no better place than a derby to change that.
The Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers said: "Derby games are always passionate and we came out the wrong side of that convincingly last year. We had to learn from that and you saw the response in the home game.
"It’s now not new for a lot of the players and we have to bring our level to it. This is a perfect game for us.
"We know it will be tough but we need to show our mettle. We need everything in terms of duels and being competitive to get a result."
Nottingham Forest v Leicester (15:00 GMT)
Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper will have been pleased that his side were victorious in Wednesday evening's Carabao Cup quarter final tie against Wolves.
But now attention turns back to the Premier League.
Forest have lost just once in their last five league games and would go three points clear of today's opponents with a win.
However, Cooper is under no illusions about the threat that Leicester pose: “They’re a very dangerous team. They create a lot of really good chances and have players that have done it at this level year in, year out.
"I have a lot of respect for Brendan [Rodgers] as a guy and a manager and for the success he has had.”

Manchester City
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola to BT Sport: "The game was really good. We played good. They are incredible in transitions. Congratulations to the team. I'm proud to come here and play with this personality. They punished us in transitions."
On the United equaliser: "[Rashford was] distracting our keeper and our centre-backs."
On a Haaland penalty shout: "I ask but…"
"We missed a little bit of threat up front, a bit disconnected. We make a fantastic game.
"I don’t care in the Premier League and Carabao Cup. We won a lot. It’s not a problem. Carabao Cup is out, it doesn’t matter."

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola on the offside decision...
"We know where we play."
Full quotes to come.
Wolves v West Ham (15:00 GMT)
Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui says his side's improvement is "not enough" as he continues to plot a route to Premier League survival.
Wanderers have lost just once in 90 minutes in six league and cup games since the Spaniard took over and will climb out of the Premier League relegation zone with victory at home to West Ham.
But Lopetegui said: “It is not enough. We have to continue working a lot, continue knowing that each team in the Premier League is able to beat you.
"All the teams have fantastic players, good coaches, so we always have to be at our top level to win each match, we always have to stay at our best level."
Wolves v West Ham (15:00 GMT)
Could Daniel Podence be the star at Molineux?
Wolves v West Ham (15:00 GMT)
West Ham manager David Moyes revealed Wolves had made an offer for defender Craig Dawson on Friday.
Dawson, 32, who was linked with a move to Wolves in the summer, has featured in just eight of the club's 18 Premier League matches so far this season.
"We've had an offer from Wolves, we've not accepted it and that's as much as I can tell you," said Moyes.
Wolves are 19th in the Premier League ahead of their crucial game against the fourth-from-bottom Hammers.
Wolves v West Ham (15:00 GMT)
Wes Morgan
Former Leicester City defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
The past couple of seasons have been really good from West Ham - top-half finishes. They have produced some great performances against the top-six teams.
But this season, no one can put a finger on why West Ham have been so bad?
They are in the bottom four with 15 points and it's not looking too good. They need to start picking up results and find their own formula.
Wolves v West Ham (15:00GMT)
Simon Stone
BBC Sport at Molineux
The general feeling has been that West Ham are in a false position in the Premier League.
Europa League semi-finalists last term, already through to the last-16 of the Europa Conference League this season, David Moyes' squad is packed with top-class players.
However, they keep failing to win.
Either side of the World Cup, they led against Crystal Palace, Arsenal and Leeds - and collected a single point.
After today's trip to Wolves, they have a home game against David Moyes' former club Everton.
Given Newcastle, Chelsea and Tottenham are their first three opponents in February, they need to pick up points quickly should a tricky position become serious.

The offside rule is ridiculous and needs changing, Rashford clearly interfering with play. However, current rules implemented correctly today.
Simon, Utd fan
Not a Man Utd fan, but how is Rashford not interfering with play for that first goal? He is in the centre of the pitch, running forward as if to shoot and practically shepherding the ball to Fernandes. The keeper doesn't know which player's shot he'll have to try to save or block. That is 100% interfering with play. Totally nonsensical decision by the ref/VAR to allow that to stand.
Nick S
To paraphrase the late great Brian Clough, if a forward in the penalty area is not interfering with play, what is he doing there?

That first Manchester United goal still has you talking...
FT: Man Utd 2-1 Man City
Manchester United
Manchester United goalscorer Marcus Rashford to BT Sport: "A little knock [in the first half]. In games like this you have to try to push through.Thankfully I did that.
"Scoring a goal and winning the game, that’s always the aim. This game is a little special.
"It’s a change of dynamics. I’ve said many times but options off the bench even when we’ve had injures, players out of position, everyone is putting a shift in.
"Anything is possible. We’re very pleased to come back and win."
