Kevin de Bruyne eventually whips a cross in from the left but it's headed away at the front post.

Marcus Rashford has been heavily involved so far.

United have looked for him over the top down the left whenever they can, as you can see by this graphic showing the use of each attacking third for the hosts.

A concerning look on the face of England boss Gareth Southgate in the stands. The physio is straight on. Marcus Rashford has got up and stretched a little. Hopefully he's OK to carry on.

Rashford took a big touch just around the penalty area and that was Ederson's cue to come out. He did well to narrow the angle and Rashford hit it straight at his chest.

Ashwin R: Rashford poor again! Man Utd should sell when his stock is still high.

Robin: The clearest evidence of Rashford’s chronic weakness: he holds on to the ball for too long.

    Phil McNulty

Lots of face rubbing from Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola. He does not look particularly happy and you can see why because Manchester City are not playing with their trademark fluency.

    PACE.

Marcus Rashford powers past Rodri, beating him purely on pace as he closes down on goal.

Ederson comes off his line again but this time makes a crucial block as Rashford's last touch is a bit too heavy.

That was a perplexing moment from Ederson. I don't know if he's reading his FIFA stats because he thinks he's quicker than he is. He was never, ever going to get to the ball. Really strange decision from Ederson.

I think United really needed this test at this point in the season to see whether we can fight for the title, so far so good!

Bruno Fernandes' pass again finds Marcus Rashford on the left. He's got tonnes of space and Ederson decides to sprint out of his box.

It's a terrible decision as Rashford rounds him and the goal is left gaping.

He has to take a touch as the angle is tight and Kyle Walker is able to get back in time to block it on the line. Nervy!

It looks like Kevin de Bruyne is working his way back into the game. We've seen some powerful runs going forward but nothing has come to fruition so far.

It looks easy for United at the minute, they've got a lot of time and know what they're going to do with it before they receive it. The options just look readily available.

Still neither goalkeeper has been forced to make a save but, for Manchester City, some more promising signs.
