    Everton 1-0 Arsenal

    It's ending with a scrap!

Oleksandr Zinchenko charges into Neal Maupay off the ball and sends the Everton forward to the turf. It's rash and daft from the Arsenal man as it's just wasting precious time.

    A yellow card for both.

  2. Postpublished at 90+3 mins

    Clumsy from Leandro Trossard.

He fouls Idrissa Gueye and gives Everton chance to eat into some of this added time.

  3. Postpublished at 90+2 mins

    Everton 1-0 Arsenal

    Oof. Not far off!

Arsenal take the corner low to the edge of the box where Oleksandr Zinchenko is waiting. He hits it first time but flashes his shot just over the bar.

Sam: Are Arsenal fans the most fickle in the world? One loss (potentially) after playing some outstanding football all season and it’s the end of the world! What next, Arteta out?

Mike: Why are Arsenal fans being so negative? If Everton go on to win it would only be their second defeat of the season?

Michael: Arsenal fans just stop and support the team instead of looking for every negative! 'Conceding' the title already. Ridiculous!

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 86 mins

    Everton 1-0 Arsenal

Jordan Pickford waits and waits and waits to take a goal kick and is booked for time wasting.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

Phil: So we are 1-0 down and all of a sudden people are saying that's our title credentials disappearing? Garbage, we are here to stay.

Anon: Now the narrative will flip on Arsenal. Now they are a bad team and Arteta is a bad manager. Football fans and media so fickle.

    Everton 1-0 Arsenal

The Arsenal chances continue to pile up late in this game.

The Gunners move the ball across the box to Leandro Trossard, but he curls his effort wide of the far top corner of the home goal.

Matthew: Well we had fun. Been an Arsenal fan long enough to realise this is the beginning of the end. Congratulations to Pep and Man City.

  15. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Everton 1-0 Arsenal

The home side are sitting deeper and deeper now. Understandably.

It is inviting Arsenal on, though.

Ten minutes to go. Ten massive minutes for both these clubs.

  16. Postpublished at 79 mins

    Everton 1-0 Arsenal

It is just not happening for Arsenal today.

A Granit Xhaka cross to the far post lands at Eddie Nketiah's feet but he fires his angled shot high and over the bar under pressure from a sliding tackle.

Alex: I'm sure Everton exist just to simply annoy everyone. Either by losing to a team's relegation rivals by playing terribly, handing them an easy three points, or raising their game against a title challenger or top four chaser, when they've played awfully for months.
