    Spurs 1-0 Man City

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham's all-time top scorer Harry Kane speaking to Sky Sports: "It's hard to put into words and I'm so glad it came in a win.

"We worked so hard to keep a clean sheet. It was so special to do it in front of the fans. There has been so much talk about it in the last couple of weeks and to do it in such a big game is even more special.

"It is a great feeling. When I started playing regularly it wasn't even in my imagination to score 200 Premier League goals and i have a few more years left so hopefully there are more to come.

"[Jimmy Greaves] is a complete hero, one of the best strikers to play the game so to be in that conversation is special. And to overtake him is a huge moment for me."

    Spurs 1-0 Man City

Manchester City remain five points behind Arsenal - and have played a game more than the Gunners.

Arsenal's defeat by Everton yesterday hasn't proved too costly.

Spurs, meanwhile, for all the talk of their struggles are just one point off the Champions League places now.

  3. 'Extremely good game management form Spurs'published at 18:29 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

    FT: Spurs 1-0 Man City

    Glenn Murray
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was a very good performance by Spurs. The game management once they went in front was extremely good. Very structured. We can see the players down there and what it means to them.

The Man City players trudge over to their corner of the ground to applaud the travelling fans. They will be bitterly disappointed especially seeing Arsenal, their title rivals, drop points at Everton.

I really did expect more from this Man City performance this afternoon.

Manchester City have played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium five times... and lost all five... and never scored.

    A remarkable record.

We're past the five minutes - there will be a little bit more added on - and Spurs have a free-kick. Hugo Lloris to take.

Lloris is guilty of this in his career already. It has to go to VAR, Rodri has gone for the ball, and if Rodri is the only man to make contact with the ball then it has to be a foul.

It hasn't been given which means Lloris had to have got the ball so it should have been a corner.

Nathan: One thing Grealish does give City for £100m, one of the best divers in the league.

Carl: Does Jack Grealish do anything other than run into other players trying to get them booked? Blatant dive to get that red card.

Jon: Emerson Royal has eaten his Weetabix this morning! What a performance.

Imran: I think this is the best I’ve seen Emerson Royal play in a Spurs shirt.

Unfortunately for Rodri this has just been one of those games where nothing has come off for him. Obviously giving the ball away for the goal and just there losing the ball under his feet and giving away the free kick.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, back on the pitch now, is fouled by Rodri on the edge of the Spurs box and they can have a little rest.

I'm looking at Spurs and they are strong at the back but they have got nothing going forward. Harry Kane is very very lonesome and they have no legs around him.

It's going to be a very busy last few minutes for Spurs here.

City are furious. They are still on the attack but play is stopped. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg goes down holding his head after blocking that free-kick.
