This isn't going to help the general anger levels in the ground.

Mikel Arteta stops Kevin de Bruyne gathering the ball for a quick throw on the touchline and gets a shove from the Belgian midfielder.

The Arsenal boss is at fault. Sometimes he's a bit too busy for his own good.

Arsenal can afford to lose the least, it has been City's mistakes that have given them the opportunities and hopefully Pep's half-time team talk has been positive.

Bukayo Saka now has 25 Premier League goals, all for Arsenal. He has now netted as many English top-flight goals for the Gunners as Marc Overmars and Santi Cazorla.

At 21 years and 163 days old, he is the youngest player to score 25 league goals for the Gunners, breaking the record held by Cesc Fabregas (22y-237d).

Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

A booking would've been harsh for that [Ederson challenge], he has made a genuine attempt to block the shot or get to the ball in front of Eddie Nketiah - he didn't and it was a mistimed challenge.

I don't think it was a yellow card in any way.

Beppe: Yet again, more inconsistency from referees. That type of collision occurs in every single game and I can't ever recall seeing a penalty being given for it. The fact no Arsenal player claimed for it and everyone was confused speaks volumes.

Rob Brown: What's the goalie meant to do then? Evaporate? Of course there's going to be contact. Ridiculously hilarious.

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Arsenal deserved to get back in the game. It's been a good first half, lots of different movements and patterns as you'd expect for these two very tactical managers.

Perfectly set for a really good second half.

    HT: Arsenal 1-1 Man City

The game started slowly, but then Arsenal gifted City the lead and things started to get a bit fractious and furious.

The Arsenal penalty debate will rage on, but the Gunners are level in a game they have had the lion's share of so far.

Where was Ederson supposed to go? He's gone to narrow the angle and they collide. He pulls back his arms to stop any foul.

    Andy

Keeper just stands there and striker runs into him. That's a joke. Let's see if they are given for the rest of the season.

    Mark

Goalkeeper's Union here, never a penalty. Keeper comes out, stands his ground and striker gets his shot away. Is the keeper supposed to move out of the way?!

Arsenal fully deserve that. Heads could have dropped because of the manner in which they conceded that opener but they have remained positive and retained their self-belief.

    Great noise inside Emirates Stadium.

Ederson completely clears the player out. Surely that's a second yellow?

    Tom

Why no second yellow for Ederson?
