Blacksteinus is a player coming into the Women's Super League. It does take a while to settle. We have seen in the opening stages that her work rate and runs off the ball is top.

She is always providing an option. She can hold the ball and is a target player. She can offer a lot more to the team than just goals. The goals will come.

Twice now have Chelsea played balls over the top for Sam Kerr to chase, and twice has Manu Zinsberger raced off her line to clear with her feet.

It's a worthy tactic from the league leaders, but other than that early James shot they haven't created much else.

Lauren James is back on the charge as Chelsea move quickly from defence to attack.

Millie Bright is off balance as she clears a hazardous cross from the left, then James races down the right, launching a dangerous-looking attack that fizzles out as Chelsea fail to make the most of it.

This is turning into a bit of a chess game.

Arsenal have had all four of the shots on target in this game, with Frida Maanum sending in three of those.

It feels like a while since that early Chelsea effort fizzed narrowly wide from Lauren James.

Both sides are going for it. Chelsea are looking for that ball over to Sam Kerr.

They have to switch it up a little bit because the Arsenal backline are aware of it now. They have to find other ways to break that backline.

Lovely play by Arsenal. Leah Williamson advances and spots Frida Maanum in a pocket of space midway inside Chelsea's half to the left of centre.

Maanum nudges possession forward and swings in a shot. Zecira Musovic is equal to it and holds.

Erin Cuthbert crashes in a shot from a central position outside the penalty area.

A suitably expectant roar goes up from the sold-out away end, but it hits Sam Kerr. Chelsea have had more of the ball in the opposition half, though, since Zecira Musovic made several saves in quick succession a little earlier.

Guro Reiten puts that radar into action from near the corner flag on the right, lofting a dangerous cross towards Sam Kerr, who is arriving at a rate of knots inside the penalty area.

Leah Williamson needs all of her positional expertise and awareness to powerfully head the delivery well clear. Classy defending.

No question that the home side have created the best chances in the first 15 minutes. Stina Blackstenius, as always, is dragging the defence all over the place with her work rate.

Chelsea however, have looked dangerous on the counter. A good, open game so far.

Lauren James glided from the halfway line into the penalty box on that first run she made.

She drifted and cut inside onto her left foot, trying to find the far post. This is what she does best with the ball at her feet.

Defenders can't get near her and she makes it look so easy.

This is developing into a really end-to-end encounter. Stina Blackstenius arrows towards the Chelsea penalty area, draws Millie Bright and sends a delicate, defence-splitting low pass into the path of Lena Hurtig inside the box.

Here's a sight we've missed during the break: Lauren James sets off on a scintillating run the length of the Arsenal half after winning possession on the right.

James cuts inside to gain space in front of the backtracking Kim Little as she enters the penalty area, then thumps a shot narrowly wide of the far post. That's the best chance so far, and a reminder of how thrilling James is in full flight.
