Blacksteinus is a player coming into the Women's Super League. It does take a while to settle. We have seen in the opening stages that her work rate and runs off the ball is top.

She is always providing an option. She can hold the ball and is a target player. She can offer a lot more to the team than just goals. The goals will come.

It's a worthy tactic from the league leaders, but other than that early James shot they haven't created much else.

It feels like a while since that early Chelsea effort fizzed narrowly wide from Lauren James.

Maanum nudges possession forward and swings in a shot. Zecira Musovic is equal to it and holds.

Erin Cuthbert crashes in a shot from a central position outside the penalty area.

A suitably expectant roar goes up from the sold-out away end, but it hits Sam Kerr. Chelsea have had more of the ball in the opposition half, though, since Zecira Musovic made several saves in quick succession a little earlier.

Lauren James glided from the halfway line into the penalty box on that first run she made.

She drifted and cut inside onto her left foot, trying to find the far post. This is what she does best with the ball at her feet.

Defenders can't get near her and she makes it look so easy.

Now Caitlin Foord mimics Lauren James, succeeding with a surging run down the left, entering the penalty area and thumping in a curling shot which Zecira Musovic claims.

This is developing into a really end-to-end encounter. Stina Blackstenius arrows towards the Chelsea penalty area, draws Millie Bright and sends a delicate, defence-splitting low pass into the path of Lena Hurtig inside the box.

Zecira Musović is out to smother.

Millie Bright thwarts the danger with a strong, accurate tackle just outside her penalty area as Lena Hurtig looks to scamper through.

Then Chelsea try to find Sam Kerr with a long ball and Manuela Zinsberger is out to clear.

Musovic did well to claim a cross there; Chelsea players were following the ball into the front post. She advanced early and the ball fell straight into her hands.

Here's a sight we've missed during the break: Lauren James sets off on a scintillating run the length of the Arsenal half after winning possession on the right.

James cuts inside to gain space in front of the backtracking Kim Little as she enters the penalty area, then thumps a shot narrowly wide of the far post. That's the best chance so far, and a reminder of how thrilling James is in full flight.
