Liverpool arrive at Brighton on the back of one win in five games.

They're 10 points off the top four and have not won a Premier League game in 2023.

"I didn't become a bad manager overnight," says Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

"I was never as good as people probably said and not as bad as some people might think. How you behave and how you deal with the situation in these moments decides about the future as well.

"It's tough, I'm sorry, but we will go for it with all we have to get out of it and then to do it in a way that people can't wait to go to the stadium again."

Brighton have made their stance on Moises Caicedo perfectly clear - they have no intention of selling the Ecuador midfielder.

Ultimately, owner Tony Bloom has the final say but Brighton have no need to sell and, coming so close to the transfer deadline, have told Arsenal directly that they have no wish to.

Caicedo has made his position clear - he wants to go. But Brighton have told him to stay away from the club until Wednesday and then they will hope the matter calms down.

They believe Caicedo has been badly advised. However, it remains to be seen what strings are pulled between now and Tuesday at 23:00 GMT.

Brighton XI: Steele; Lamptey, Dunk, Webster, Estupinan; March, Gross, Mac Allister, Mitoma; Ferguson, Welbeck.

Subs: Sanchez, Sarmiento, Enciso, Undav, Gilmour, Van Hecke, Veltman, Moran, Hinshelwood.

FA Cup: Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray reacts as Chris Rigg, 15, impresses

For one split second, the magic of the FA Cup had truly arrived at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

With Championship club Sunderland drawing 1-1 at Premier League Fulham, 15-year-old Black Cats substitute Chris Rigg scored what he thought was a fairytale winner in stoppage time.

Rigg's celebrations, however, were cut short by an offside flag.

"It wasn't quite to be," Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray told BBC Sport.

"Riggy trains with us twice a week because he's at school the rest of the week. We bring him out [of school] two days a week and he trains with the first team.

"He deserves to play. I don't put him on as a stunt. I wouldn't expose a 15-year-old to that if he wasn't good enough. He trains, he runs, he tackles, he plays forward, he dribbles, he shoots.

"He is a really good player and he almost had an amazing memory that would have stayed with him forever."
