Tottenham are trying to use the width of this huge pitch but it's not quite working.

They're looking up and not seeing another player around them. There is a huge gap up top between Beth England and the rest of the team.

What a challenge! United get in behind again, Hannah Blundell charges in on the left of the area and gets her head up to find a pass - but Celin Ildhusoy slides in and makes a wonderful tackle.

That was glory or a penalty and she got it spot on.

It's a good through ball from Russo, found the run of Galton but she just couldn't keep her composure. That was a real opportunity for Manchester United.

There's that combination we've seen so many times between Alessia Russo and Ella Toone. Excellent pass over the top by the latter and Leah Galton, with her quality, got the away fans pretty excited. She's scored those before.

    Tottenham 0-0 Manchester United

Chance! Ella Toone pops the ball over the top, Leah Galton has the pace to outstrip the Spurs backline and get to the ball first. It's on the bounce and she's going away from goal but she still gets a great connection on it and fires over the top.

Difficult chance, but a good one.

That's why she's so sought after...

Alessia Russo picks the ball up from a throw, rolls her marker and shows great pace and strength to drive into the area and put in a dangerous ball which is just about cleared away. The Manchester United striker is such a threat, and that was all her own work.

Tottenham then break well but Ashleigh Neville is offside.

Nikita Parris is an interesting one because she was known as a prolific goalscorer when she was at Manchester City then she went abroad and since she's come back, she's not quite found her rhythm.

It didn't quite work out at Arsenal and she's still trying to find it at Manchester United.

United boss Marc Skinner spoke before the game about Nikita Parris giving them the direct option in behind, and a long ball almost sends her away. The flag was up but that was close. We await the first chance of the day.

Plenty of intriguing battles out wide. United's Ona Batlle is one of the best full-backs in the world and a huge attacking outlet. She is up against Ash Neville, Tottenham's attacking full-back, who was arguably their star player last season. So far, Batlle hasn't been limited. Beth England is also looking to exploit the space left in behind by Batlle, which we saw with that run past Maya Le Tissier.

Bethany England carried the ball all the way forward and almost had to wait for her team-mates to catch up. That's what I mean about her being too isolated.

Spurs happy to drop off and let United have it in their own half, with centre-backs Maya Le Tissier and Millie Turner seeing plenty of it. Beth England then gets her head down and charges down the left but she's starved of support and her cross comes to nothing.

A very bright start from Manchester United and Ona Batlle is doing everything down the right-hand side.

It's been a nervous start from Tottenham, they're giving the ball away very cheaply.

The ever lively, ever dangerous Ella Toone breaks the Spurs lines and plays a good ball in but Tottenham react well to snuff out the attack. It's been all Manchester United so far though.

Manchester United didn't waste time in getting into Tottenham's area and there were groans around the stadium.

But as soon as Beth England had a touch there were cheers of excitement. She's made a big impression since joining just a few weeks ago from Chelsea.

Beth England is highly motivated and she is always out to prove a point. You can see that she is playing with real confidence and has scored from the get-go since joining Spurs.

She didn't get many chances while she was at Chelsea this season so she will be wanting to impress England manager Sarina Wiegman.

Marc Skinner has kept a really consistent starting line-up with Manchester United and while they are performing to the standard they are, I don't blame him for not making many changes.

The only issue is that fatigue can start kicking in towards the end of the season and you need to be able to freshen things up.

Tottenham are still trying to figure out their best XI, they haven't quite figured out a formula yet.
