There is some pressure on Spurs boss Rehanne Skinner now, especially with the players she's brought in. Some big names like Bethany England, who can change the dynamics and style of the team.

She is exactly the type of player they need and there are other quality signings. So there is more expected of them and they've under-performed this season.

Last year, though, they probably over-achieved. It'll be interesting to see what they do today.

The visitors have kept 12 clean sheets in their last 16 Women’s Super League matches, including each of the last three in a row. The omens are certainly all pointing towards an away win this lunchtime but how will that massive crowd inspire Spurs?

"The club have done a great job so we want to put on a show."

Some good news for Spurs fans though - new signing Beth England has scored in each of her last two Women’s Super League appearances – no Spurs player has ever scored in three in a row.

In 2019, the 38,262 that turned out for the WSL north London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium set a new attendance record.

That was later beaten in September when 47,367 saw Arsenal beat Spurs at Emirates Stadium.

Whether those figures will be beaten today is yet to be seen but Manchester United fans will travel in numbers nonetheless.

They were part of the crowd that set a new home record at Reading and Sunderland this year, while United’s home - Leigh Sports Village stadium - set a new attendance record against Liverpool last month.

Tottenham moved grounds this season to Leyton Orient so this is an opportunity for others across the city to watch the women’s team.

Spurs have never beaten Manchester United in the Women’s Super League in six attempts, and have lost their last six matches, their worst ever losing run in the league.

Tough day ahead for the hosts? It should be a cracker...

Manchester United make one change from the side that drew 0-0 with Everton last weekend with Nikita Parris replacing Lucia Garcia in attack.

Marc Skinner's side haven’t failed to score in consecutive league games since February 2021.

Results over the last two weeks have mixed things up at the top of the table.

Man Utd’s draw with Everton last weekend opened the door for Chelsea and Arsenal’s dropped points means Manchester City are right back in the race for not only a Champions League qualification spot, but also the title.

It means United simply cannot afford to drop more points today.

They face a Spurs side who have lost six WSL games in a row and are in danger of being dragged into a relegation battle.

With Leicester travelling to Liverpool later today, a game which could bring the bottom side points, Tottenham will want to give themselves breathing space.

That’s easier said than done against a United team who have had a strong season but Spurs need to frustrate them like Everton did last week.

Big crowd, big names, big change at the top?

With Chelsea not in action this weekend, Manchester United can go top of the WSL if they win at Tottenham this lunchtime.

Marc Skinner's side have never won the WSL, but with Chelsea set for an extended period away from league football after reaching the League Cup final, his side have a chance to build momentum.

    What can they deliver?
