    Mark Schwarzer

It's a monumental chance for Iheanacho, his third of the game really.

He just over hits it. Bazunu is a very lucky boy.

  3. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Leicester

Southampton keeper Gavin Bazunu gets away with one here. Luckily Kelechi Iheanacho is having a nightmare in front of goal.

The Irish keeper gives the ball straight to the Leicester striker on the edge of the box but he lifts his shot onto the roof of the net.

  4. 'Good call from Selles'published at 18:55 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    Southampton 1-0 Leicester

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Middlesbrough & Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's the right decision from Selles to bring on fresh legs up front because they've struggled to put any pressure on Leicester in the last five or 10 minutes.

As Leicester commit bodies forward they can hit them on the break.

Can somebody tell Iheanacho this is an FA Cup game...he might score then.

Southampton bring on Sekou Mara and Adam Armstrong for Che Adams and Theo Walcott.

  10. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Leicester

It really isn't Kelechi Iheanacho's day. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall plays a good ball into the Nigerian striker, who again lets it run too wide and the chance is gone.

  11. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Leicester

    Theo Walcott is offside.

I apologise when I said earlier I think of him mainly as not playing in the 2006 World Cup, I was wrong. I also think of the Three-Oh Walcott joke on Peep Show.

  12. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Leicester

James Maddison's corner is well over the head of Kelechi Iheanacho. Tete returns the ball into the box but also can't find anyone.

  13. Postpublished at 57 mins

Romeo Lavia makes a mess of a Southampton clearance and gives Leicester a corner for free basically.

  14. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Leicester

Leicester defender Wout Faes sticks out a boot just in time to stop Mohamed Elyounoussi getting onto a through ball which would have put him in on goal.

  15. 'Leicester not threatening enough'published at 18:45 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    Southampton 1-0 Leicester

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Middlesbrough & Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

I don't think it will be too long until Leicester make a change or two. They need to do something to change things up.

They just don't look threatening enough. Iheanacho doesn't run in behind enough and it's too easy for Southampton.

    Southampton 1-0 Leicester

We don't talk enough about how Spurs had an English right-back called Kyle Walker. And then another one came through called Kyle Walker-Peters.

  17. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Leicester

Tete and Kyle Walker-Peters go for the same ball and run into each other. The decision goes the Saints' way.

  18. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Leicester

Two Jameses, two captains, two influential midfielders, two English players. Ward-Prowse catches Maddison in the face but he's fine.

  19. 'That's an enormous chance'published at 18:41 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    Southampton 1-0 Leicester

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Middlesbrough & Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

That's an enormous chance for Iheanacho.

He had to generate his own pace on the ball and gets it all wrong. He's uncontested, he had to hit the target.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 50 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Leicester

After all the confusion about whether Mohamed Elyounoussi had replaced Carlos Alcaraz in the first half, well he has now.

Alcaraz never really recovered after injuring himself while celebrating his goal.
