Bayern Munich board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic on Joao Cancelo joining from Manchester City:

It's official!
Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo is leaving to join Bayern Munich on loan.
The 28-year-old has found first-team opportunities hard to come by in recent weeks, making just three appearances since the World Cup.

In October boss Antonio Conte urged fans to trust his judgement when it came to both players.
Speaking about Doherty he said: "Doherty played every game last season. Now I’m not seeing him in the right way to start the game. I'm not stupid, I don't want to lose."
Tottenham fans were getting frustrated that Spence, who signed in the summer for £20m, wasn't playing, but Conte told the fans he tries to "pick the best team".
"The fans have to be fans. I understand they can think everything, but I see every day what happens during the training session," said Conte.
"I try to do the best for the team. If they trust me, then they trust me - but the choices are mine. If I didn't decide to pick one player, it's maybe because he's not ready.
"We are talking about a young player with a good prospect. But, I repeat, I try to pick the best team."

Chalobah began his career at Chelsea since when the 28-year-old has had stints with Watford and Fulham.
He has made six appearances for Marco Silva’s side this season but has featured for only four minutes since he was sent off against Newcastle on 1 October.
