About a month ago, myself and Chris Sutton were asked who we were worried about the most [to be relegated] and we both didn't say Leicester.

Now you ask the same question and I'm actually worried about them now.

If [James] Maddison's not involved in the game, [Harvey] Barnes can't get involved, [Patson] Daka can't get involved and they just look a really ordinary side.

Leicester 'mutually' sacked Brendan Rodgers on Sunday, so Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell are in caretaker charge tonight.

Rodgers said: "I am obviously disappointed to depart so close to the end of the season and had every confidence that we would have delivered the results needed to preserve the club's Premier League status.

"I would like to wish everybody at the club the very best of luck as they seek to continue to deliver on this objective."

Foxes striker Patson Daka said: "I feel I didn’t do enough to help him keep his job. What’s done is done. We can’t change it right now."

Leeds v Nottingham Forest (19:45 BST)

    Phil Dawkes
    BBC Sport at Elland Road

This is a big week for both of these sides.

Leeds' next two fixtures will be the litmus test for their season, to see whether they are in for another tense scrap to the wire or less stressful vantage point from which to watch the chaos unfold below them.

Forest tonight and Palace on Sunday at home are fixtures from which they would hope to take maximum points. That they are sandwiched so close together just ramps up the urgency.

Forest have two away games, starting with this tonight and then Villa on Saturday. Tricky tests but exactly the kind they sought through promotion to the top tier. What will they see as a good return? A point from each?

One thing is guaranteed... you are going to be able to feel the tension around Elland Road tonight. The roar at the start with just a slight hint of fear, the murmurs that will spread around the ground after near misses and the release that will greet any goal.

  4. Team news - Tavernier still on bench; Ferguson returnspublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 4 April 2023

    Bournemouth v Brighton (19.45 GMT)

Gary O'Neil makes two changes from the Bournemouth side which started the 2-1 win over Fulham on Saturday.

Ryan Christie and Hamad Traore come into midfield, replacing Joe Rothwell and Jaidon Anthony, who drop to the bench.

Marcus Tavernier, who came on to score the equaliser at the weekend, is a sub again as he comes back from a hamstring problem.

Bournemouth XI: Neto; Smith, Stephens, Senesi, Kelly; Ouattara, Christie, Lerma, Traore; Billing; Solanke

Subs: Travers, Cooke, Brooks, Rothwell, Tarvernier, Vina, Semenyo, Zabarnyi, Anthony

Levi Colwill and Danny Welbeck drop out from the starting XI for the 3-3 draw on Saturday, both are on the bench.

Brighton XI: Steele; Veltman, Dunk, Webster, Estupinan; Gross, Caicedo; March, Mac Allister, Mitoma; Ferguson

Managerless Leicester make two changes to the side that started the 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace in Brendan Rodgers' last match in charge.

Jamie Vardy, 36, makes his first Premier League start since 21 January while Nampalys Mendy also returns to the midfield.

Patson Daka and Tete drop to a bench which also includes Dennis Praet after injury. Jonny Evans is again missing through injury.

  6. Team news - Bamford back for Leeds, Forest unchangedpublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 4 April 2023

Leeds v Nottingham Forest (19:45 BST)

Having started their last game at Arsenal without a recognised striker as part of a cautious, counter-attacking approach, Leeds manager Javi Gracia brings back one of his attacking big guns.

Patrick Bamford starts in attack in one of two changes from the defeat at the Emirates. He replaces Crysencio Summerville, who is on the bench.

The other change sees Weston McKennie come into midfield in place of Rasmus Kristensen.

Willy Gnonto was injured for the Arsenal game but returns and is named on a bench that includes Rodrigo.

Leeds XI: Meslier, Ayling, Firpo, Koch, Struijk, McKennie, Roca, Harrison, Sinisterra, Aaronson, Bamford.

Leeds v Nottingham Forest (19:45 BST)

    BBC Sport columnist Chris Sutton

This is a huge game for both clubs, but particularly Nottingham Forest - they have not won since they beat Leeds at the City Ground on 5 February, seven games ago.

I've mentioned my relegation 'worryometer' before and Forest still worry me, a lot. I can't put my finger on why their away form is so bad, but it really is terrible. They have the worst record in the top flight, with one win and six points in total from 13 games on the road.

It's a blow for Leeds to be without Willy Gnonto and Tyler Adams, who are both injured, but the home crowd will be really up for this and I fear for Forest at Elland Road.

It's that time of year when you turn up to an evening game and the sun is still out. You can wear short sleeves without looking an utter fool (although you better bring your big coat because it won't be warm later!).

It's also that point in the season when teams start to fret if they are still in touching distance of the bottom three and boy are these two in touching distance.

Leeds are currently in that relegation zone as one of the nine teams battling to stay afloat. Forest aren't much better off, a point and two places better off than the Whites. That group of nine is slightly less congested than it was a week ago, but seven points from 12th to 20th suggests there will be some twists and turns yet.

It's been a contrasting week for Leicester City and Aston Villa.

After Saturday's late 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace the Foxed parted company with boss Brendan Rodgers.

It was a fifth defeat in six league games for the East Midlands club which saw them drop into the relegation zone.

Aston Villa have taken 13 points from the last 15 on offer in the Premier League; only leaders Arsenal with a perfect 15 have a better record.

Unai Emery's side beat struggling Chelsea this weekend and will look to heap more pressure on Midlands rivals Leicester tonight.

It's a crucial one towards the bottom of the Premier League table as Leeds United host Nottingham Forest with just one point separating the two sides.

The Whites started the weekend outside of the bottom three but have since dropped into the relegation places thanks to their 4-1 loss to Arsenal combined with wins for West Ham and Everton's late point against Tottenham on Monday.

Nottingham Forest conceded a late leveller to Wolves on Saturday and sit just above the drop.

Forest are unbeaten against Leeds since August 2017, which is a run that stretches back six matches.

Bournemouth have a real chance to put space between themselves and the relegation zone.

The Cherries have collected nine points from their past six matches and have lost just one of their past five.

But a defeat against sixth-placed Brighton could see them fall back into the bottom three.

The Seagulls have lost just once in the Premier League in 2023.

Brighton's away form has been brilliant, with the high-flyers collecting 12 points from their last six games on the road.

A win against Bournemouth and they will finish the day within four points of the top four.

It's largely been a season to forget for Premier League heavyweights Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Blues find themselves without a manager after Graham Potter's seven-month reign came to an end on Sunday.

Chelsea have dropped to 11th in the Premier League - 12 points outside the top four - having spent more than £550m on new players this season.

Meanwhile, this week Jurgen Klopp admitted he is still Liverpool manager only "because of the past" rather than his team's current form.

The two sides face each other at 20:00 BST.

But first we've got three other Premier League matches kicking off at 19:45 BST. Let's take a look.
