  1. 'Back-three suits Forest'published at 15:34 BST 29 April 2023

    Brentford 0-0 Nottingham Forest

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

He's tinkered with different systems all season long, Steve Cooper.

I think the back-three does suit them and gives them that solidity.

    Brighton 3-0 Wolves

Quite surprised at just how bad Wolves have been. They've usually been quite solid and organised defensively but they are error-strewn at the back so far.

    Brentford 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Taiwo Awoniyi gets a knock from a heavy 50-50 but he's OK to carry on and gets a warm applause from the away fans.

  4. 'One way traffic so far'published at 15:32 BST 29 April 2023

    Brighton 3-0 Wolves

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on Final Score

This is the Brighton that we have become used to watching.

Exciting, free flowing, looking confident. They've just been unbelievable!

You're looking at Wolves and they are trying to have a go, but it has just been one-way traffic so far!

  5. Lopetegui incensedpublished at 15:32 BST 29 April 2023

    Brighton 3-0 Wolves

    Kelly Somers
Final Score at the Amex Stadium

Brilliant, brilliant football from Brighton but Wolves have been poor and their manager knows it.

Julen Lopetegui, in his slick caramel coloured jumper, is just in front of me on the touchline and hasn't stopped moving.

He's clearly incensed as to what his side are doing defensively - every time Brighton go forward, they look like they're going to score. Worrying.

  6. 'VAR not good enough again'published at 15:32 BST 29 April 2023

FT: Crystal Palace 4-3 West Ham

    West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes speaking to BT Sport after his sides 4-3 loss to Crystal Palace: "We didn’t start the game well, probably the early kick off means we were not quite ready, we got a goal in front but defender poorly today. Their quality of play was better than we were today.

"Losing Kurt is always a huge miss because he’s so important but you always expect others to come in and do their jobs defensively, but they didn’t."

When asked about their set pieces: "We've not actually had a great season on set pieces but today was our best, I’m more disappointed in our quality of play, we didn’t win enough second balls and we rarely came out on top."

Asked about the penalty kick: "I think its an incredibly soft penalty kick and its what they’ve said they weren’t going to do, give soft penalties. Once again VAR is not doing a good enough job from our point of view. He brushes his arm and I don’t see in any way how it is a penalty and the decisions certainly aren’t going in our favour."

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:31 BST 29 April 2023

    Brentford 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Rico Henry claws back Brennan Johnson as he tries to break for Forest. It's a free-kick and a yellow card.

  8. 'He's miles offside'published at 15:30 BST 29 April 2023

    Brentford 0-0 Nottingham Forest

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

That was one of them, just get the flag up, he's that far offside.

He shouldn't be offside really, but he's definitely about two yards offside. There's no need to let play carry on there.

  9. Postpublished at 15:29 BST 29 April 2023

    Brentford 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Taiwo Awoniyi tried to stay onside but he didn't succeed as he's slipped in behind the Brentford defence. Forest still think he's on as the flag takes a while to go up and it's switched across the box to Orel Mangala before the whistle eventually goes.

  10. 'That man Enciso is having a blinder'published at 15:28 BST 29 April 2023

    Brighton 3-0 Wolves

    Jonathan Overend
BBC Radio 5 Live Sports commentator

What a goal this is. Set up by that man Enciso, he's played a blinder of a first half, and finished in playground style by Pascal Gross.

    It doesn't get any better!

  11. goal

    GOAL - Brighton 3-0 Wolvespublished at 15:27 BST 29 April 2023

    Pascal Gross (26 mins)

    Pascal Gross again!

A brilliant first touch sets himself up for the volley and he executes it perfectly, smashing into the top corner.

Exhibition stuff from the Seagulls here.

It’s amazing how Brighton can rest the likes of Caicedo and Mac Allister and still perform like this. De Zerbi has to be in with a shout for manager of the season.

There's a few options for April's manager of the month. Roy Hodgson should beat them all.

    Brighton 2-0 Wolves

    Jonathan Overend

Excellent start from Brighton. Leading Wolves 2-0, but could be more so far.

Brighton's star man is playing off the left, and it's Julio Enciso.

Mathias Jensen's corner is cleared at the near post but Brentford retain possession. He launches in a long throw to Vitaly Janelt but Joe Worrall deals with it.

  17. 'You can't concede three in the first half'published at 15:22 BST 29 April 2023

FT: Crystal Palace 4-3 West Ham

    West Ham United

West Ham captain Declan Rice speaking to BT Sport: "I think it wasn't good enough today, being totally honest. To go 1-0 up and again, it's four goals that are avoidable. We put ourselves right in it and couldn't really get back into the game. We scored three set-piece goals but it's not enough considering where we are in the table. We needed to win today or at least get a point and to lose that one here as you can see that one has really hurt today.

"Credit to Palace, they defended well, really stopped us. The three in midfield for them worked really hard to stop me and Lucas [Paqueta] getting on the ball. It just wasn't enough today in terms of duels won, second balls, it wasn't enough all over the pitch.

On the Crystal Palace penalty: "I've just heard inside that it was a bad decision but I've actually not seen it back. There was a penalty against Liverpool which was a penalty and then today we've been done by two decisions and it seems to be going against us at the minute in terms of that. But by that point we'd already conceded three, that was the fourth and if you're coming away to Palace, one thing you can't do is concede three in the first half because you give yourselves a mountain to climb and you've got a hard chance of winning football matches conceding that many goals."

On facing Manchester City and Manchester United next: "That's the Premier League. We've just said that we need to roll our socks up, go again. The schedule is frantic, non-stop but it is about sticking together. we'll recover especially with us still being in Europe. City next is going to be a tough test and then Man United at home. We're always up for those big games at home so hopefully we can get something out of the next two."

    Brentford 0-0 Nottingham Forest

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's been a good spell from Brentford. But it feels like the last minute or so has gone into a little bit of a lull.

It was a highly energetic start.

Simeon: There isn't a Brighton fan alive who didn't slump when they saw this team announced. Gilmour and Undav have been outstanding so far. What do we know? Well we know Roberto De Zerbi is a proper football manager, that's what.

Frank: Brighton were spooked at the City Ground on Wednesday. Wolves getting punished for it!
