Paul: This premier league is in danger of turning into the French league in terms of who can win title. One dominant team that will win it most years with the odd and rare exception where someone else does.

Nicholas Walker: Can't see anyone taking down this Man City machine. Real Madrid are potentially in for a rough 2 legs.

It's the perfect start for Manchester City.

Bernd Leno almost gets there but it's perfectly in the corner. It's exactly the start that Fulham didn't want against the now league leaders. 1-0 down.

    It's a nightmare for Fulham.

It's been a fairly scrappy start at Old Trafford. There's been a feisty battle between Jadon Sancho and Ashley Young.

Both teams have had spells of possession with neither really taking control.

Erling Haaland has now scored 34 Premier League goals in 2022-23, which equals the overall record in a season.

His tally, a record by a player in a 38-game season, equals the number set by Andrew Cole and Alan Shearer in 42-game campaigns.

This is his 30th appearance in the competition. He scored more than 21 teams managed in total in their first 30 Premier League games.

He also now has 50 goals in all competitions this season. Ridiculous!

Never in question. Erling Haaland places it into the bottom right corner. Bernd Leno went the right way but it was too far in the corner for him to reach.

There’s been some heavy defeats and they’re shipping goals. They’ve got to find a way of scoring some goals and sorting it up at the other end.

I proposed to my wife on a wave of excitement after Newcastle beat S’ton 3-2 in 2021. Today is our first anniversary and we are playing S’ton at home again. Cupid’s arrow dictating the fixture and list and proving that romance is not dead. Or at least that’s my explanation for watching the match…

They’re pretty much there now but one last push today would pretty much confirm Premier League survival.
