  1. goal

GOAL: QPR 1-1 Norwichpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 19 April 2023

    Adam Idah (46 mins)

A goal straight after the restart at Loftus Road too.

QPR see their lead wiped out as Norwich look to get back in the play-off hunt.

Gabriel Sara's low shot is palmed away by Seny Dieng but Adam Idah is the quickest man to respond and beats Dieng and a Rangers defender to the loose ball and taps in.

Idah had only just been introduced as a half-time sub for Marquinhos!

What response do the hosts have now?

    Blackburn 1-0 Coventry

Coventry, who had to make an enforced change when Josh Wilson-Esbrand replaced Ben Sheaf at the back end of the half, make another with Liam Kelly on for Jake Bidwell.

  3. goal

GOAL: Swansea 3-1 Prestonpublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 19 April 2023

    Tom Cannon (48 mins)

There is a quick response for Preston.

On-loan striker Tom Cannon gives the Lilywhites hope.

The Swansea defence fails to deal with a free-kick swung into the box, and the loose ball falls to Cannon.

The striker converts from 10 yards for his fifth goal in five games.

    HT: Middlesbrough 0-1 Hull

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

Middlesbrough have to pick up the energy levels and find a way to open up Hull.

It's been a tough game because Hull are sat in, but they're also breaking. The goal didn't come through good play, it came from a corner, but they were on the up.

They're moving the ball better and getting into the Middlesbrough box easier that Boro have been getting in theirs.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 19 April 2023

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Hull

Not the first-half Middlesbrough were expecting as they look to cement their play-off place.

Hull have done it again in that first-half, showing their qualities and scoring a fine goal from Allahyar Sayyadmanesh.

They might not be involved in the shake up as the season comes to an end, but they certainly aren't on the beach under boss Liam Rosenior.

    Watford 1-3 Cardiff

One change at half-time for Watford too.

    Ken Sema replaces Ismael Kone.

Have the Hornets recovered their composure after shipping three quick goals before the break?

Lose tonight and it'll be four defeats in eight games since Chris Wilder took charge at Vicarage Road.

  7. Second halfpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 19 April 2023

Teams are coming out, whistles are blowing and the second halves of the four 19:45 BST games are getting going.

We had a flurry of goals in the first 45 minutes. Will that pattern repeat?

Preston boss Ryan Lowe has made a triple change to try and inspire a comeback from 3-0 down at Swansea.

Bambo Diaby, Robbie Brady and Ali McCann have come on for Ben Whiteman, Jordan Storey and Liam Lindsay.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 19 April 2023

    Reading 0-0 Luton

No goals at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, but Luton hit the post in the first-half in the best chance of the game.

That said, the promotion-chasers have not had it their own way at all.

Reading have belied their lowly status and given it their all, and had Andy Carroll kept his shot down early on, might have had an early opener.

  9. Postpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 19 April 2023

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Hull

There was a rich, full smile on the face of Liam Rosenior on the Hull bench as he soaked in what had just happened with the goal by Allahyar Sayyadmanesh.

Contrast that with the touchline inquisition between Boro boss Michael Carrick and assistant Jonathan Woodgate. This wasn't in the script.

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Hull

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

It's been coming to a certain extent. Hull have kept possession and they've looked a threat.

Both teams have had a go but I think, just slightly, Hull have been the better side.

Hull take the lead and it's deserved, with a superb opener at the Riverside.

It was a magnificent ball in by Adama Traore, out-swinging, with Allahyar Sayyadmanesh making a little dart out to meet the curling cross and power his header across goal and into the far, left corner.

Powerful connection from the Iran international.

    Reading 0-0 Luton

Outstanding 'Platoon'-style body on the line block by Reading as the ball breaks in the box for Luton.

Naby Sarr takes it full barrel at point-blank range as Cauley Woodrow nails the bouncing ball.

    Huge stop. Bravery par excellence.

There have been nine goals in the four games which kicked off at 19:45 BST.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Hull

Cameron Archer just delivers a warning to Hull of his class and danger, with a fierce curling effort which sweeps across Karl Darlow's goal.

Hull respond with a super chance of their own, as Regan Slater is played through after neat build-up, and his low drive is palmed away by Zach Steffen.

    Boro opened up then.

    Reading 0-0 Luton

Luton sweep in a cross from the left, but Tom Holmes' header just helps the ball away from the lurking Lucas Joao in the box.

    Key touch.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 19 April 2023

    QPR 1-0 Norwich

Could QPR end their seven-match winless run and breath new life into the survival bid?

Lyndon Dykes has given the R's a narrow half-time lead over play-off hopefuls Norwich.

The hosts are on course for just a second win in 20 league outings.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 19 April 2023

    Blackburn 1-0 Coventry

Sam Gallagher celebrates scoring for Blackburn against CoventryImage source, Getty Images

Blackburn lead at the break thanks to Sam Gallagher's superb header to open Coventry up.

It's hardly been chance-a-thon but Rovers have had the best of it and lead.

Coventry yet to fashion a proper chance for Viktor Gyokeres or Matty Godden, in their 'Windows 98' logo/test card away kit.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:36 British Summer Time 19 April 2023

    Watford 1-3 Cardiff

Watford took the lead through Ismaila Sarr but three Cardiff goals in 11 minutes turned this game on its head.

This would be a big, big win in Cardiff's survival bid.

With Reading currently drawing, the Bluebirds are two points above the dop zone.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 19 April 2023

    Swansea 3-0 Preston

Swansea celebrate Joel Piroe's opening goal against PrestonImage source, Getty Images

Swansea in firm control and heading for a fifth win in six.

Joel Piroe put the Swans ahead after 68 seconds and the set up Joe Allen for the second.

Harry Darling added the third just before half-time.

Preston are staring at back-to-back defeats and losing ground in the play-off race.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 19 April 2023

    Blackburn 1-0 Coventry

Coventry have to make the change with Josh Wilson-Esbrand replacing Ben Sheaf.

They get a corner too, which is whipped in venomously to the near post, but the home side belt it clear.
