    But it hasn't happened - Pools played their part but Crawley's draw with Walsall means the north east side will join Rochdale in the National League next season.

    QPR secure their Championship status after winning at Stoke to secure back-to-back wins for the first time since October.

    Albert Adomah's goal early in the second half secures all three points.

    It's been a rotten run for the R's since being top of the Championship in 22 October, but at least they know they will be in the second tier next season.

    First-half goals from Josh Eccles and Viktor Gyokeres give Coventry a comfortable win and see the Sky Blues move back up to fifth.

    Mark Robins' men are on the brink of securing their place in the play-offs.

    Hull 1-1 Swansea

    A draw between two sides rooted in mid-table.

    Ben Cabango turned a low cross into his own net after just three minutes to give Hull the lead.

    But Swansea earned a point with Luke Cundle's equaliser just before half time.

    Sheff Utd 4-1 Preston

    Sheffield United sign off their season at Bramall Lane with victory.

    Anel Ahmedhodzic gave them a first half lead but Liam Delap equalised for Preston.

    North End had to win to maintain any outside play-off hopes but they were undone by two goals in two minutes, first from John Fleck and then Iliam Ndiaye.

    Oll McBurnie then added a fourth deep in stoppage time.

    A huge point rescued for Sunderland!

    Watford hadn't won away since 2 January but Christian Kabasele and Ryan Porteous headed in corners to put them 2-0 up.

    Luke O'Nien got Sunderland back in the game before Patrick Roberts curled in a beauty deep in stoppage time to grab a point.

    The Robins see their nine-match unbeaten run at home come to an end.

    What a time to score your first professional goal!! Wigan boss Shaun Maloney made just one change from the win against Millwall - it was to start 19-year-old Charlie Hughes.
