Manchester United officials have begun a round of presentations to potential investors.

The leading candidates, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim, are due to send representatives to Manchester next week.

However, others, who are either offering to fund any purchase of United or redevelopment of Old Trafford or the club's Carrington training ground, are first in line.

It is understood there will be potential investors at tonight's game, potentially from the Elliott Investment Management group, who formerly owned AC Milan and are willing to provide funding around United rather than buy into the club itself.
