  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 2 April 2023

    Leicester 1-1 Reading

It's Leicester who look the more likely at the moment.

Carrie Jones charges down the left-hand side and is looking for Hannah Cain in the box but can't quite get the cross to her.

Faye Bryson's challenge was early on in the build-up but play had been allowed to continue. The referee eventually pulls it back to book her.

    And again!

Hannah Cain breaks down the left with that rapid pace she has and whips it across the penalty area to Sam Tierney who was arriving at the far post.

It's a decent effort from Tierney but Grace Moloney palms it behind for a corner.

Big Emma Mukandi header to prevent Sam Tierney getting her second of the match!

Leicester break forward and there's a lovely little chipped pass from the right-hand side, Tierney was in the mix as was Hannah Cain.

But Mukandi leapt highest to clear the danger.

And off we go again. Rachel Rowe is fine to continue, more of a clatter than any real damage done, it seems.

    Goodness me.

We had a stoppage for Brooke Hendrix and now Rachel Rowe is on the floor with what looks like an ankle injury.

Any chance of a bit of football, please?

    What's going on here then?

Carrie Jones is on the deck and has basically unravelled the entire bit of strapping that was on her leg. Looks like maybe it had come loose and was getting in her way.

She's going to carry on without it.

  10. 'We gave the game away'published at 16:05 British Summer Time 2 April 2023

    FT: Arsenal 2-1 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor, speaking to BBC Sport: "I thought we were as good as we could've been. I think the first half is as good as we've played. Second half we didn't probably play as fluently. It's just errors for the goal, two errors cost us and then you're chasing the game. I thought we started to play our way back into it.

"We just needed to be three or four up, but saying that I think we should still see the game out at 1-0."

On if the stop-start nature of the game held City back: "It happens now in the game where you get decisions going your way or not. We did more than enough in the first half to be more than 1-0 up. [It is] disappointing to give the game away, which I felt we did."

On what went wrong: "Just individual mistakes. Individual mistakes I think have cost us. First one if from a corner, second is a goalmouth scramble. Very disappointing."

On the challenge of the international break: "You win the game and you don't want the break to come, you lose and you don't want the break to come. You get on with it and we go on to the next game."

  13. 'My most competitive period as Arsenal coach'published at 15:58 British Summer Time 2 April 2023

    FT: Arsenal 2-1 Man City

    Arsenal

More from Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall:

On triple substitution in the second half: "We know that City are very good when they settle into their patterns, and they are also very strong on crosses, which caused us a problem in the first half.

"We wanted to change things to be more organised and to give ourselves the chance to defend the crosses better. We also wanted to give ourselves more dynamism in the press so we could open passing lanes and disrupt their players before they could settle into their rhythm."

On message to players ahead of the international break:"I told them that I am lost for words. How they have managed to overcome challenges in this period.

"Starting with Chelsea in the FA Cup, it has been by far the most competitive period during my time as Arsenal head coach.

"We managed ourselves through it really well; through injuries, through different situations, and through refereeing which at times has been horrendous against us. We keep giving 100%, and keep finding solutions."

  14. 'I rate this win very highly'published at 15:57 British Summer Time 2 April 2023

    FT: Arsenal 2-1 Man City

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall speaking to the BBC:

"Every three points is important at this stage, especially against a very, very strong Man City. I said to their manager [Gareth Taylor] before the game that we have played a lot of good teams this season, but no team has played as well as Man City did at the Academy Stadium when we played them in February.

"We know that they're not one of the teams that are there in the end of the Champions League, but they are definitely a top European side. So I rate this win very highly, especially given the current circumstances."

On Katie McCabe's performance: "It's incredible isn't it? The journey that she did to be available to play this game. I think her booking at the start of the game was harsh. We know she is a player that needs to play on the line, but she managed to do that for 80 plus minutes. Huge performance."

I didn't think that was a dive to be honest.
