No team has scored more goals than Manchester City's 26 in the Champions League so far this season.

The fewest conceded? That's City as well, with the Blues' defence having only been breached on four occasions in this year's competition.

Effective at both ends of the pitch.

The Champions League semi-final first legs take place on 9 and 10 May, with the second legs on the week of 16 and 17 May.

Manchester City travel to Real Madrid on 9 May and host the Spanish giants on 16 May.

We sort of revert to being more conservative when we think about football but Guardiola is pretty aggressive.

As a consequence I think they'll acknowledge that Vinicius is a key asset and if they can find a way to have that extra man in midfield.

You're looking at Valverde and Modric and one more against potentially Man City's four.

I would love to see Kyle Walker go head-to-head against Vinicius.

"It is tough for me because I had a good chance. We had them under control, won lots of ball in midfield, if I had scored I would like to have known where this game went.

"I know the team quite well, I know how strong they are at home, but if you concede three away in the first leg it's tough. It's annoying how it went, especially how we played today - I am proud about that, we have to keep up the spirit and focus on the league now."

On Manchester City: "Everyone knows I like them and like how they play, so congrats to them."

Italian football writer Vieri Capretta speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live about who he thinks will win the Inter Milan v AC Milan semi-final: "Inter won the last two derbies and I think Inter probably have less individual quality, with the likes of Leao, who can literally score on their own. But if they play as a team they've got a more physically demanding style of play but when they attack as a team they have a more European style of football I think.

"I think Milan will progress, despite what I just said. I think Inter are potentially the better side but I just think something with AC Milan the last couple of seasons is they win when it matters most. They've done it to win the Scudetto last year against all odds and they've gone against all odds to go this far in the Champions League this year."

I feel that there is that extra confidence because of Haaland and the way it makes that team play. If they get through, whichever Milan team gets through, they will be overwhelming favourites against them.

"We struggled in the first half. Upamecano broke all the lines down our left side and we struggled with Coman. We were fortunate before the penalty miss, they had one or two chances and anything could happen but we defended really well.

"The finishing from Erling was really, really good. He is so young. The experience that we have in this competition, the players feel it a lot, they want to do it really well. The second half was much, much better since minute one.

"We are exhausted. I don't know how we recover to play against Sheffield United [in the FA Cup semi-final]. Now is a tough moment for the game on Saturday."

Inter Milan's Denzel Dumfries speaking to BT Sport: "Amazing feeling. It has been amazing what we have done until now. Now we will face AC Milan in the semi-finals which will be a special match. We're looking forward to it.

"Before tonight we did not speak about it. Benfica are a very good team so the focus was on tonight."

On scoring more goals: "This was motivation also. We have the qualities to score goals and in the last matches we didn't. We have lots of experienced players and we work hard every day and keep believing in our abilities."

On chances of winning the tournament: "We said this already at the start of the season, we can win the Champions League. This is our goal. Of course, the target is to win the Champions League."

Benfica may be out but they can be pleased with their performances in the Champions League this season.

No Portuguese team has scored as many goals in the competition in a single campaign as Benfica (26) this season.

FC Porto netted 25 goals in 2014-15 and were also eliminated in the quarter-finals that season.

From a fan perspective they're denfitely thinking about that.

I think they know that going into that 90th minute last year they were going to the final again.

People will be desperate too go and see it.

If you are the team that beats Real Madrid in this competition you have to believe you can win it all.

Both semi-finals are fantastic in their own individual right, and I am looking forward to seeing this City one.

Manchester City's Bernardo Silva, speaking to BT Sport: "We struggled until February because we couldn't get in that usual run we had before of winning 10-15 games in a row but now we are very consistent, we feel we have a chance in every competition and we are going for them.

"We are at that point of the season where if you drop your performance in one game you are out of a competition. It is going to be tough but we are going to work very hard to bring some titles home.

"Building win after win, that confidence, it is very important and we need to keep it that way."

On Erling Haaland: "Erling is a special player, a different player to what we had in the past. He doesn't need many touches. He is like a shadow for 85 minutes and touches the ball once it is a goal. When we have that special player in attack it makes us feel more comfortable at the back."

Revenge against Real Madrid? "Hopefully yes! We will go for it definitely. We always go for it but we feel the team is very, very confident at the minute. I think we are going through."

Upamecano was petrified tonight There was times when he was 10 yards deeper than De Ligt because he was so fearful of Haaland's pace.

But when they play Real Madrid, Rudiger will go toe-to-toe with him.

Bayern did have chances, as you expect that with them playing in front of their home crowd.

But when they were throwing their players further forward it left them open.

Over the two legs they were the better side. This is such a dominant team in every phase.

Job done for Manchester City in what was ultimately a very professional and comfortable win over the two legs.

Bayern scored, as they always do at home, but it was nowhere near enough to stop a City side who look well equipped to win the Champions League this season.
