He had a wonderful position the referee. Chris Basham turned inside Aymeric Laporte and tried to chop it past him. Laporte had a little swipe but I don't think there was any real contact, nothing significant. Basham was always looking for it and went to ground easily. Fair play to him, the referee was quick to say "no penalty".

Credit to Sheffield United fans. Many of them are staying to the bitter end. They'll be hoping to celebrate a promotion in a few days time.

I think they've got a very good chance [of doing the Treble]. You want to get to this stage of the season and still be competing for things, they certainly are doing that.

They've got the experience, they've got the know-how, they've got real quality within this squad just to keep going.

I'll say this about them: they've found a real run of form at the perfect time as others start to fall away.

Sheffield United have got through a lot of work today. You forget that their priority this season is promotion. This FA Cup run has been outstanding, they've thoroughly enjoyed it. The fans have come hoping that something special could happen, not expecting. It's time to keep everyone fresh for that final push for the Premier League.

A huge week coming up for Sheffield United. They will win promotion to the Premier League if they beat West Brom on Wednesday.

There's no way back now for Sheffield United so more changes.

That substitution is no surprise because of the number of games Gundogan has got through. He's such a quality player, he can play as a more advanced midfielder or in the deeper role he's played today.

Captain Ilkay Gundogan is the latest City player to make way. A good shift by the German. He'll be back at Wembley in six weeks for the final. His replacement is Kalvin Phillips.

Riyad Mahrez has scored the first ever FA Cup semi-final hat-trick at Wembley, and first in the semi-final of the competition overall since Alex Dawson in 1958 (Man Utd against Fulham).

Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish have come off as Pep Guardiola turns his attentions to next Wednesday's top of the table clash with Arsenal. Cole Palmer has been sent on.

Phil Foden is on while Sheffield United have also made another chance and sent on Billy Sharp. It's party time in the City end as their fans do 'The Poznan' celebration.

A stunning hat-trick. Brilliantly struck with the left foot. The goalkeeper gets a hand to it but he just can't get the ball out. Jack Grealish just waits and waits for the gap to appear, waits for the run of Riyad Mahrez. As it all comes together Grealish just passes it into the area, Mahrez arrives right on cue, strikes it so sweetly, puts City 3-0 ahead.

Three-nil is enough and the time for Pep Guardiola to make his changes.

That was Manchester City's 16th goal in the FA Cup this season. Mahrez has four of them and is outscoring Erling Haaland - who has three - in the competition.

That was quite brilliant from Riyad Mahrez. Poor from Max Lowe, he gave possession to Mahrez. He just drives at the heart of the defence. He's got Haaland running alongside of him, Alvarez trying to make the movement, the Sheffield United back line are distracted.

John Egan jumps to one side of Mahrez, allows him to run right through the centre. Penalty spot, opportunity to pick his spot. He's full of confidence after scoring the penalty and he scores the second as well.
