City are still in second gear. They're bossing possession - 81% in the opening half an hour - but they're not doing an awful lot with it.

Wes Foderingham comes out to claim a corner but is nowhere near it. Fortunately for the Blades, it drops at the feet on a red and white shirt and it's hoofed clear.

Sheffield United haven't ventured much into City's half since that early chance for Iliman Ndiaye. Now more defensive duties for the Blades a City free-kick drops into the danger area but it's well dealt with. The Championship club have a good shape about them.

Chris: Being able to fill Wembley for an FA Cup semi has nothing to do with how many fans a team has and everything to do with how much money it costs just for a semi final.

Riyad Mahrez tries to curl a shot beyond Wes Foderingham but it drops well wide. Then Foderingham is forced into his first save by Julian Alvarez, the keeper stretching to shovel the ball behind for a corner.

City are having a chunk of possession but the Blades are well organised at the back. The Treble chasers cannot carve out an opening.

City are starting to stir. A lovely delivery into the Sheffield United penalty area lands at the feet of Riyad Mahrez but he cannot get a shot away. Wes Foderingham is yet to be tested.

The strike from Erling Haaland was incredible. It just glided across the surface from all of 30-35 yards. The keeper would've had no chance.

Erling Haaland has the ball in the back of the net but Stuart Attwell has already blown his whistle for a foul. Haaland holds his hands out as if to say 'what's wrong with that?'

They've both settled into the game pretty well. Sheffield United look quite comfortable at the moment.

When they get the ball they're direct and getting in and around [Daniel] Jebbison quite quickly.

They've had the best chance of the game so both managers will be comfortable with how the game started.

A first corner to City after Sergio Gomez lifts the ball into the box before it is put behind. Manuel Akanji is now holding his head but is going to be fine to carry on.

Ten minutes on the clock and Paul Heckingbottom will be delighted with the start his underdogs have made. City have yet to register an attempt - let alone one on target.

Good atmosphere at Wembley but sad to see rows of empty red seats at Wembley. Wouldn't it be better to take the semi-finals around the country?

The Blades are really making City's defence work. Another attack and again Iliman Ndiaye is at the heart of it but his attempt from an angle rolls into the side netting.

City are still feeling their way into this. Julian Alvarez attempts to whip a cross into the box but it's well defended.

That was a great chance for Iliman Ndiaye with just 88 seconds on the clock but City's German keeper Stefan Ortega was well placed to make the save.

Encouraging start for the Championship club. They win the game's first corner. It's swung in by Oliver Norwood and flicked into the path of Iliman Ndiaye and he forces the keeper into a save.
