  2. Can Chelsea follow Arsenal?published at 22:27 British Summer Time 29 March 2023

    Chelsea v Lyon (Tomorrow, 20.00 GMT - Agg: 1-0)

There's more Champions League action tomorrow night, as Chelsea aim to make it two WSL sides into the semi-finals.

They host Lyon at Stamford Bridge, holding a 1-0 lead from the first leg in France.

If Emma Hayes' side progress, they will face Barcelona in the semi-finals. Now that would be a tie for the ages.

What impresses me the most about Arsenal this season is the amount of adversity they have overcome.

To reach the semi-final of the Champions League, that is huge.

The more you can get used to this feeling, the more it can drive you on. You want more nights like this.

I don’t think Bayern Munich believed Arsenal could deliver that level of performance.

This is a huge shock for them.

There are two worries from Arsenal tonight - those injuries to Little and Katie McCabe.

Pictures now emerging showing McCabe is on crutches. Not a good sign.

When you produce the type of goal that Frida Manuum did - on a night like this when you need a goal straight away, in the Emirates, in front of all your fans - you just know tonight was going to be special.

No keeper is stopping that goal, it was so good.

Today was Leah Williamson's 26th birthday. What a present she has given herself.

She was fantastic tonight, filling in Kim Little's central midfield position and the captain's armband after the Scot was forced off early.

For those unaware, the women's Champions League semi finals take place on weekends. Currently on 22 April, Arsenal are scheduled to travel to Manchester United in a battle of WSL title contenders.

The week after, on 29 April, they are down for an away game at Everton.

Both of those matches will now have to be rearranged.

Could Arsenal end up facing United between their Champions League semi final matches? What a week that would be.

Bayern had won their last 14 games in all competitions before tonight. They last time they failed to win was in November last year.

Jonas Eidevall is confident Arsenal can beat anybody. If they get the game plan right, they’re confident of beating anyone.

Tonight they were unbelievable, they thoroughly deserved the win.

They wont fear whoever they get in the next round.

I feel they believe they can go the whole way in this competition.

Arsenal will play either PSG or Wolfsburg in the semi-finals.

They must improve their finishing, but other than that they must fancy their chances of reaching the final in Eindhoven.

The first leg of the semi will take place on 22 or 23 April, with the second match a week later.

Amazing celebrations on the pitch and in the stands at full-time. Arsenal are in the semi-finals for the first time in a decade.

There's people dancing to "Freed from Desire" and players jumped into each other's arms at the full-time whistle.

If you have not seen it already, you must check out Frida Maanum's opening goal. A beautiful build up and simply brilliant finish.

Arsenal got the second goal they needed, but really they should have had five tonight. They missed some golden chances.

Jonas Eidevall is now giving his team talk on the pitch after the game, his players in a circle with arms around each other.

After Arsenal started 2023 sluggishly, his job looked under pressure. By the end of this season, he could have guided the Gunners to a treble.

For the first time since 2013, the first time in a decade, Arsenal are Women's Champions League semi-finalists.

They were irresistible in the first half, and impassable in the second.

Bayern barely threatened going forward in this second leg.
