Zadrazil has her pocket picked by Maanum in midfield. Arsenal have started the second half brightly.

A goal early this half could make all the difference.

Of course, the injury to Little really is a blow for Arsenal and their hopes of winning both the WSL and the Champions League this season.

At least, as the other Emma S said below, it appears to be a hamstring problem and not another ACL injury, like those which befell Mead and Miedema.

I was fortunate enough to cover Arsenal's 5-1 win in Lyon earlier this season. I would wager the first half here was among their most impressive displays since that game in France.

In Lyon, Arsenal still had Mead and Miedema available before their season ending injuries. It seems as if now, finally, they are getting over the absences of two such critical players and are rediscovering their best form.

A stunning display from Arsenal in that first half and some really excellent goals. They should be further ahead in the tie.

The only downside was Kim Little’s injury which we’re hearing is a hamstring problem.

Arsenal had nine shots in the first half, with four on target. Bayern had one off-target effort in those 45 minutes.

However there remains just one goal in the tie, everything remains to play for.

The credit needs to go to Arsenal for their game plan, the way they have suffocated Bayern.

Bayern haven’t problem solved, haven’t changed it and haven’t been able to overcome the press.

Arsenal need to make the most of these moments.

I really hope they don’t kick themselves at the end of the game.

Stats can be misleading - it was 50-50 in terms of possession, while Arsenal only completed six more passes than Bayern. So an even half right?

Far from it. Arsenal played with so much more intensity and precision, they pressed Bayern into oblivion.

The only saving grace for Munich is that they are not further behind.

Another stunning save from Grohs to deny Blackstenius. She has kept Bayern in this. Arsenal will be disappointed to go in at half-time without a better lead.

Arsenal should be absolutely out of sight!

From the free kick after the foul on Foord, Blackstenius guides the cross on target however Grohs makes a superb reaction save.

It comes out to Wubben-Moy wide on the right, and her cross comes off the crossbar and flies away with the keeper stranded.

If you are the Bayern Munich manager you have to play on the fact Arsenal’s two centre-backs have yellow cards.

Play the balls over the top, get them turning and making a mistake.

Arsenal can’t afford to have anything like that happen again.

How have Arsenal not made it three?!

They pick Bayern apart again, this time down the right, it comes to Blackstenius in the box however Grohs makes a fine save with her leg.

The rebound from Maanum is also blocked, and Bayern escape.

Stina Blackstenius is owning Saki Kumagai and Glodis Viggosdottir.

When Arsenal plays it up to Blackstenius, she holds it, she turns it, she keeps it.

That’s a really big turning point for this Arsenal team because previously she hasn’t been doing that.

The level of performance she is delivering tonight is really impressive.
