Former Brighton interim manager Amy Merricks is to my left in the press area - with airpods in, she will be feeding back to Phillips on the touchline.

She looks concerned, and rightly so. United have been all over Brighton in the second half.

Hayley Ladd commits a foul as she takes down Julia Zigiotti who's trying to break free for Brighton and goes into the book.

Maya Le Tissier is playing a big role going forwards for United right now, sending long balls towards the front line with pinpoint accuracy. They've gone for a more direct approach in this half and it's working.

  6. Postpublished at 53 mins

United clearly have the confidence they need now. The fans are chanting about going to Wembley and the players are attacking with pace down both flanks. Brighton can't hold them back like they were doing.

    Leah Galton (47 mins)

    An immediate response!

Ona Batlle sneaks in down the wing and plays an inch-perfect ball into the middle, leaving Leah Galton with an easy job to do to put the hosts back on level pegging.

Brighton's hard work from the first half is all undone.

Mary Earps emerged from the tunnel very early for the second half. Clearly keen to put that first half own goal behind her.

Combined with the spilled shot leading to the late Brazil equaliser in the Finalissima, this is not the time for the England number one to lose form, so close to the World Cup.

I'm not sure what Melissa Phillips has said to Brighton. The pressure's off a little bit, it's sort of seen as a front hit. You've got a chance to go at Wembley, go to the FA Cup final, so express yourself and play with a bit of freedom.

    Hope Powell
Former England and Brighton manager on BBC Two

I think Brighton have been sturdy, tough, and well-organised. You look at Leah Galton, Alessia Russo and we've seen very little of them. Brighton have banked up really well and denied Manchester United space and opportunity. That's credit to them. They've done really well for me so far.

That Earps own goal is the 15th Brighton have scored in the FA Cup this season. They have not conceded one yet.

Man Utd will have to find a way through to avoid a big upset here. They have been well below their best.

In other news, the sun is now shining directly in my eyes in the LSV press box. The joy of spring.

    Siobhan Chamberlain
Ex-England and Man Utd goalkeeper on BBC Two

She's been brilliant both for club and country. It's an uncharacteristic error for her. As a goalkeeper you don't always get the opportunity straight away and make amends. It's a mental game for her now. I'm sure she'll be key in getting Manchester United back into this game and potentially to a final.
